He's nowhere near the same class as Richards. If Richard loses a leg then maybe Ah Van would be a slightly better option.

I don't know why people are saying he's a good goal kicker, he isn't a 'good' goal kicker at all.

If we are looking towards Ah Van as the future, I'll dig my boots out, I'll still have a chance.

we've got pat for another 3 years yet and thank god if people think we should sign ah van. Was it against us when he made a shocking error last year and we just walked in for the try? I think it may have been pat who scored actually.

so if Ah Van is such a terrible kicker then the Immortal Pat Richards must not be that much better seeing that Richards was last seasons 4th best kicker and Ah Van was 5th with only 14 kicks between them, also the much applauded Dureau was 7th with 84 and the saviour Micheal Dobson 10th with 75, so not as bad a kicker as some blinkered fans claim

Pat played 7 games less scored 11 more tries and 14 more goals. If you're going to try to use stats to make a point it usually helps if you actually look at all of them and that they don't prove the exact opposite.

Im not d about his kicking what about the other bits of his game, Defence, try scoring, off the ball running, carries etc etc, or shall we just carry a player just for the one particular skill ?
