| Did well tonight, first 10 looked really bleak, I thought we might take a spanking. I thought their big lads played well but we stuck in there and scored tries at very important times. KPP for me was one of his best games, nothing massively flashy like he can produce but ran it in very hard which I can’t remember him doing often, was my man of the match, another big shout for Mago, did decent minutes and plenty of carries, if he played like that every week we’d be desperate to keep him rather than wanting him out but it’s maybe too little too late?
I will say that Warrington with Williams and co back could still have something to say come October, I was quite impressed by them at times tonight, like I was last week, they could still have sometime to say come October if they get their form back imo.

| Made a meal of that. Loads of missed opportunities to score. KPP was immense. Ref was truly awful. Luckily it was only Warrington though, who are diabolical.

| Dodgy opening quarter with Clark running the show for Wire but unlike last week never looked in trouble once we got our noses in front, onto the semi we go

| Think Peet summed it up perfectly - we played well 2nd half and closed the game out well but the start wasn't good enough with a lack of intensity. Liam Byrne epitomised that getting dragged back twice alongside loose defence allowing the offload for the first try.
KPP and Mago helped big time with their impact. Smith, Wardle and Field were excellent. French still looks out of place but you can tell they're working hard to make it work as well as possible.
Probably a 7/10 performance. Pretty good in the end but we need to be better next week. Be interesting to see if Peet throws Willie Isa in - he could be a big help if fit.
Peet 5 Powell 0.

French doesn’t quite look like he’s clicking in the halves, but he’s up there with try assists in the league this season and another great one tonight, I think we are best sticking with him at 6 and Field at 1 for the rest of the season. I think O’Neill at 9 and 4 forwards on the bench is the way to go too which seems odd as at the start of the season you would have had Cust and Powell as starters almost guaranteed,

| That opening 10-15 minutes was horrific defensively but we managed to get things together. There is so much class about Wardle and it was nice to see him play well against Wire. We’re going to need to find some intensity from minute one next week or else they’ll burn us.

Looks like HKR's new signing has hit the ground running, a try and golden point drop goal on debut

| After 15-20 mins, I thought we could be in for a tanking, but Wire faded badly in the second half. I think French is growing into the role at 6 OK, really. Both he and Field got their hands on the ball plenty, which is surely what we want. I would have liked to see more of Nsemba too, he looks such a good prospect. KPP and Mago both pretty good. Dunno if I'm being unkind, but when Smithies broke for the try French eventually scored, I did think, is that the fastest he can run? We got the score, anyway. Wire didn't seem bothered about preventing our scorers running round to make the conversion easier. Saints or Cats wouldn't have allowed that.

I thought Smithies had a good game and showed decent pace in the open, his first break he showed some wheels and did Dufty around the outside and had nobody else been there he would have scored, even though that came to nothing it was actually a big moment in the game imo as it broke Warrington opening dominance and put us on the front foot for the first time in the game.

| I'm starting to have doubts about Peet. I think he needs to go.
Also, Harry Smith is awful. He makes Denis Moran, Doc Murray and Marc Reber look good.
Oh....and Rads is too.

I’m a big fan and have always seen the potential upside but I have no issue with people questioning him, if he can play like he did tonight and add his offloading he can go to the top no doubt.

| Full admission, I'd never heard of Greg Florimo. I don't have the historical knowledge of some of you guys. But Wiki tells me he played 20 games in 1999. I thought I watched just about all of the Wigan TV archive over lockdown (expect I wasn't the only one! ), but still don't recall him. Perhaps I should check back...

I have no issue with people questioning any player but it’s noticeable that some people prefer criticism over praise.
His potential has always been clear to see.

He’s obviously not hugely quick Smithies but he’s playing great at the minute. He is really developing his link play in the middle and he’s added more punch to his running game. If he had an ex teammate banging his drum in the media, I reckon he’d be getting rave reviews across the board but not all players are as lucky.

I wouldn't if I was you.
Him and Marc Reber were sold as the next Edwards and Gregory. They weren't even the next Hale and Pace (somethirn neither of them had)

I disagree with KPP. He’s deserved the criticism that has come his way and tonight only highlights why. Where has that hunger and aggression been for the last two years? He was absolutely outstanding and long may it continue. I thought it was noticeable that Peet said his time off had got him excited about the game again. That seemed a back handed compliment, as though he was saying his motivation levels maybe haven’t been quite where they should be previously. What he has done tonight is get me excited that he can end his spell here on a real high and that would be pleasing. Nobody doubts his talent for me.

Agree.
If he plays like that for the rest of the season he leaves with good wishes.
