Should be rolling it over the line looking for the drop out rather than hit Faz short. Having said that I hope we run that play in the second half but go out the back to French or Gildart as the Giants defence and lining up Faz leaving a bit of space on the edge.

Full credit to Huddersfield, we’ve played at a good intensity yet they’ve matched us and they’ve nothing to play for realistically, so that’s credit to their desire. We should’ve got ourselves further in front and it could be a tricky night now.

On another note, it’s actually got to the point now where it is sad watching George Burgess try and play. It was the acid test tonight of his hip and if this period of rest and physio could sort him and it’s clearly a huge issue. The lad pretty much limped on the the field and limped in to his first tackle. I think we have our answer on any rest doing him good. If there’s no realistic operation that can fix it then a lad who has been a fantastic player should probably call it quits.

He looked in awful shape too, looks way over weight

This business of defenders blocking kick chase is really starting to annoy me, it’s such an anti-attacking rule. Was mastered by Sinfield and McGuire and now every team is doing it (including us).

Can’t understand why we are putting all our kicks on Jerry when Senior has struggled on the rare occasion we have tested him.

We were a different team with Bullock on. He finished almost every carry on the front and a quick PTB.

Played well. Bad decisions near the line and Huddersfield defended well. Thought Hardaker was superb. Burgess is done... Completely. Hastings giving absolutely nothing away regarding his future.
