Why is it that, no matter how much a team is praised that beats Wigan, a fan of whatever said team still writes a post like this?

We have to accept that fans will be brought up to hate us, rather than respect what we bring to the game as a whole.... It's their day in the sun, let them enjoy it.

Everytime i see them play, they go through the same structured plays coming forward, to create an overlap for the winger or to put the second rower one on one with the opposition halfback.

To a certain extent yes. I also don't think we offload the ball enough either. Leeds and Warrington base a lot of their attack on the offload creating uncertainty in the defence, you lot used it a lot last night to.

I fully understand when we have a player of Sam's quality why we would create systems to utilise him, that have been very effective but I believe we have become over reliant on them.

I honestly think if you look at our team on paper there is a case to say we are currently over achieving.

The biggest concern for me is Wigan's lack of attacking options. The usual two wave attack works well against most opposition but the well coached teams are now negating it by moving up quickly in the line. With Sam in the team he can still make a difference because he has the skill to evade the defenders even though they know what he is going to do! With teams moving up so quick I would try more kicks over or through the line to mix things up a bit and keep the defenders thinking and unsure which plays we are putting on.

When it come to the play offs Wigan will have to have more attacking options otherwise I don't see us even getting to the GF. At the moment it is a Hudds v Wire GF looming.

Just watched it again as instructed. Yes the try was a forward pass and yes there were two instances with touch kicks (Grix and Charnley) that were dubious. But to latch on to moments like that is very simplistic. Giants should have been out of sight at half time. They bombed a number of chances not due to Wigans good play but due to unforced errors. Aside from the two try's, which were well taken Wigan did very little. Their forwards were poor and Lauki is a waste of space and a penalty machine to boot. Not too many positives to be honest.
