anything less than a 16 point start for Wigan and I will be backing Wire on the handicap, just think our halves and backline wont have room to play as the forwards wont be on the front foot. It is 1 bet i wouldn't mind losing though....lol

I always feel pessimistic about this fixture, home or away but I get a sense of unity about the squad at the minute which is certainly needed and a huge factor when it comes to these types of games. I still think Wire will win but I think we'll give them one hell of a game and will be closer than many of the predictions.

Our front row needs to man up big time on Friday - Prescott, Mossop and Dudson need to get on the front foot from the off. Mossop in particular will need to bend his back in defence as his workrate in that area sometimes leaves a lot to be desired when he's off his game.
For me the real reason Leeds won the Grand Final was the fact their front row dominated, Peacock was my MoM.

It is back to the playground for the Wigan forwards, you either stand up to the playground bully ,instead of always walking away as they seem to have done in the last couple of years .
You may take a bit of an hammering but you will do what lots of kids have done in the past in the playground, stand your ground and gain your opponents respect.
No disrespect meant to the Wire with this post.

I'd play the same team as last week, Burke's in great form but I think it's just too tough a game, particularly in the forwards, for him to debut in. If he had played last week and done well then I would have said differently. As it is I'd leave him out of this week and next week barring injuries/poor form then bring him in for the London game. Friday could be a massive opportunity for Sam Powell to make his name |

the more I think about it the more I think we will win on Friday and I think it will give us a great boost for the rest of the year. We where solid on Friday, our defensive line speed was excellent, cut out the penalties and I think we win the game.

Im a punter and have been for many a year and i expect(ed) wigan to be getting around a 10 start... if they dont il be surprised and forget about it, its my opinion and thats what the board is for - TIT..!!!! |
