| I said before the England squad announcement we should be looking at Chris Hill to play alongside Peacock who should be afforded these two games to say a well deserved goodbye to the England set up in these 2 exiles games.
Peacock has been a terrific player and he deserves a good send off from the England fans but thats all it should be. It's time to have a look at guys like Mossop, Hill, Crabtree etc to see who's capable of providing the support Graham and Sam Burgess need come the world cup. I also believe Ben Westwood should be playing at prop come 2013.
As for guys like JJB and Sinfield being in the squad it's crazy. They're totally out of form and have never done anything of note for England. How can they be selected?

| If I were a Leeds fan (feels very wrong even typing that) I'd just be embarrassed by this. How on earth can having so many of their players in the England squad be justified going on their recent form!

| Well Wire certainly haven't peaked yet (or if they have, it's going to be another disappointing season for the Wolfs).
Nothing to be scared of here. The Wigan pack must be desperate to get stuck into these Wire forwards. They now seem to be struggling a bit against Leeds, who were steamrollered by an understrength Wigan at Headingley last week.

I agree. Warrington have been disappointing and dont look a patch on the team of last year. I posted last season that I thought if Wigan and Warrington both played to their full potential that Warrington were a better team. I certainly dont think that this year and would certainly have us in front. We have improved considerably where as Warrington have gone backwards.

They're missing Monaghan but the pack generally looks way below the standard of last year.

3 or 4 knee cleanouts, missing preseason, missing the majority of the season plus hes not in hes 20's no more= not going to be as half as good as he was.

| Bizarre end to the game. Ridiculous TJ intervention. I could be wrong but to me it looked like Thaler wasn't that enthusiastic about giving a penalty on the say so of the TJ...

Good point
In relation to the pack generally, they don't seem to have anyone bringing the physicality and aggression of a Lima, Hock or Mossop. Morley is a shadow of the player he was (though probably not as past his sell by date as Peacock, to be fair). Westwood is capable of putting in some big hits but I'm not sure I'd swap him for Hansen, let alone Hock and for me the jury is still out on Waterhouse.
It's impossible to be unbiased but on current form which Wire forwards would get into the Wigan side if we had everyone available?

Westwood ahead of Faz, and Carvell ahead of Lauaki, I'd say.

| I wouldn't be writing off Wire's pack tbh. They've got a really good set of backs and their forwards have plenty more to give imo. The likes of Hill and Westwood have been playing well but some have been underperforming yet they're better players then they've shown and they'll really turn it on when it matters.
The league leaders, the grand final and the challenge cup will all be taken out by Wigan or Wire imo and even though we're playing the better rugby there won't be a great deal between the sides in knock out matches.
I'd love both the challenge cup final and grand final to be Wigan vs Wire games. The big games deserve the best sides to be in them and theres no doubt we're the best two around at the moment.

| For me I'd take Hill and Grix off their hands.
Hill because he's a good hardworking English prop, and Grix cause he can play in a vareity of positions (to a good standard) in the forwards and backs.

| no doubt at all we are missing our first choice hooker and first choice scrum half, plus the extra dimension (no pun intended) that Solomona gives us in attack.
Solid without being spectacular..building to the business end....its going to be between us and Wigan I feel.
