I'd start Hock in most league fixtures with the aim of getting him right for the play offs. He needs match fitness if he's to be an option in high intensity games like those.

As for the Cup I think Farrell would be my bench second rower for the semi as the Wire game looked to fast for Hock just yet.

Hock was way off the pace on Saturday, did he manage about 15 minutes in total? He definitely needs more game time. Did he get an injury?

I wondered that at the time, but nothing's been mentioned anywhere. As you say, he did about 15 mins end of the first half, then never reappeared.

I wouldn't have Hock anywhere near a big game for the rest of the season. Saturday completely passed him by. He needs to work on his fitness and would hope he's left to the Salford/Bulls/Crusaders games to give others a rest. Faz to take his place providing "Tough Club" has worked for him.

In hindsight Hock was probably brought on at the wrong time on Saturday. They had just scored their first try and were getting back into the game which was never going to be easy for him.

I'd leave him out of the semi but i'd be looking at getting him match sharp for the play offs. He'll be a huge weapon if we can get those minutes into his legs.

I'm not sure if the issue on Saturday was introducing Hock or taking off Hansen. Hansen has been absolutely on fire lately.

A bit of both imo. I thought Hansen was our man of the Match and like you say has been on fire(career best form for me) and when he went off we lost a lot of our shape and structure in defence. He plays a huge part in our defence on that side and holds it all together.

When Hock came on that shape went and we were all over the place. That wouldn't have happned with Farrell in the team as he's abit of a like for like for Hansen and has a good understanding with the rest of the lads.

It'll come for Hock and as proved against Wakey his attack is as devastating as ever but his defence needs work. We're a different and much improved side(especially in defence) from the one he left 2 years back and he'll need to evolve to fit in.

That's the key thing for me, there shouldn't be a wrong time for anyone to come on and I think we've all expected far too much from him after being out for two years.

As with Cross I think he needs to be a squad player for the the rest of this season, coming into the "easier" games to allow some of the other forwards a rest as we rotate players for the big games coming up.

That ended up being the problem with Feka having to try and bring him on at certain times because he couldn't cope when we were on the back foot but he had no excuse for it. He was a fulltime professional yet let himself get totally out of shape.

If we look at Hock he looks as fit as he's ever been but he's not got his match legs yet and he can't be blamed for that. He will only get match sharp by playing games but in the cup games we have left(hopefully 2) i'd agree we can't carry somebody who we have to 'try and find a right time' to introduce.

Anyone know if we can park safe at the ground, don't mind paying, for the play off game used the park and ride but a bit of a shambles after the game.

Theres a car park next to the ground 5 mins walking distance its about £5 never had any problems when parked there previously.

Cheers, is that what looks like a large area of waste ground , just north west of the stadium on Google maps, think a fair might have been on there couple of years ago at the play off game.

The only time I've had a problem with the Park & Ride was after the play-off game in 2007. Dunno what happened that night, but it's been fine ever since.
