If Lima is banned then that will be 4 suspensions for Wigan players already this season (Lima, Joel and Sam so far), whereas other teams have had relatively few ( 1 or 2 max) and Warrington none - despite Carvell's apparent late and head high challenge that resulted in Dureau being taken to hospital.

The RFL are a joke! Just as they were last season when Morley and Carvell were let off for apparently awful challenges the week before the Wigan game and Senior and Peacock were let off after the CC Q/F for assaults on Joel/Sam. Then Coley is banned for a clumsy but in no way malicious challenge against Catalans - suspended for the Warrington home game - surprise surprise!

I hope the alleged rumours that the Hetheringtons and Tony Smith having a massive influence on the RFL are unfounded.

The end result of the tackle looked worse as unfortunately Clarkson fell awkwardly/the wrong way. There are several/numerous 3 man tackles carried out by most teams in most games - it's called effective defence - 2 upstairs and 1 down below to stop the legs and get the player onto the ground. Lima and others had already made such tackles in the game and there was no problem - neither was there with Clarkson. It just looked a lot worse because of the way he fell and then half the Leeds team came running and shouting. Neither Silverwood nor the touch judge had deemed it to be a dirty tackle before this.

The bottom line is Clarkson wasn't injured - so it couldn't have been that "dirty" a tackle! Unlike poor Dureau against Carvell......

There was a very similar tackle in the Wire game. Micky Mac came in and clamped the legs, Briers came running in complaining to try and get a penalty, which caused the comotion going off the pitch at half time. No penalty was given and the match review panel had no problem with it either

been surporting leeds for years and get there as often as i can but what has that got to do with lima or my comments on this forum, i was only putting my opion across and if it was a different player from a different club my feelings would be the same i feel that somebody career is going to be ended due to this type of tackle and thats not good for the game. with a name like CRUSHER i better be scared cos you my come and shake my milk....

more luck than judgement i think and have seen the carvell incident and agree that the rfl have got this totally wrong

Maybe more luck - or maybe not a bad/dirty tackle. Surely whether a player gets badly injured or not should have some bearing on any punishment/suspension. Hence swinging arms that often go unpunished because they totally miss - they may be pinged and penalised in the game but the player won't get cited/suspended for this.

I think its time for Maguire and Lenaghan to start complaining to the media about what is going on with the disciplinary panel. Its obviously bent. Look at the Hull game i believe they said Radford had a good record when he had been sent off las season. If Carvell was as bad as what is been said then how the hell do they get away with it.

Maybe its a levelling the sides out a bit, after all weve mastered the salary cap now they need to bring us to their level by banning some of our best players. After all we win the game in hand were level with Wire and Giants and weve been crap in a few games.

No but they need to put pressure on the panel to be fair. Keeping quiet is not working and were getting hammered by it.

not to many careers ended by a swing arm and yes you could be right about punishment but the technique he uses to tackle does need looking at or next time it could be someones career ended

Apparently Wigan have been defending like that all last season, I dont recall anyone getting injured. Though unfortunatley at times injuries in rugby league will occur, its the nature of the game. If some one is trying to pull you to the ground while some one else has hold of your legs, it is possible injuries will happen, it doesnt make it illegal.

Right this hole Lima stuff is getting right on my t*ts , I ve just watched it over and over again on BBCi player on superleague show and its f@ck all , The 1 st impact is easy waste high and when he slides to the knee he pulls out the tackle FFS .

This tackling technique won us the league last yr , But because its Lima well thats another story.

Your not wrong at the point of where the Leeds player slap him round the head he s just lay flat on his face holding nothing ,I think its an absolute joke , im dreading Hock been back not for him but for this crap that Lima s getting i can see Hock being up every other week with these sh@t rulings
