Is the black pearl Hanley or Renouf? I thought Renouf had that name as well, his autobiography's called The Pearl.
On Hanley what was the story about his fitness regime? I remember reading somewhere that he never did weights with the rest of the squad. He'd worked out his own circuit training thing using body weight and a medicine ball that kept him in shape, so the coaching staff just let him do his own thing for fitness.

Mark Cannon.
Pretended he was a second rower to get in the team.
Took his place at Stand off in the cup replay against Bramley (After a Shaun Kilner drop goal attempt went inches wide in the last minute of the first game).
Got us to Wembley that year and effectively started the glory era.
Replaced the next year however by the even better Brett Kenny.
