The reality is that this game would attract a bigger crowd at Headingley. Not because of home support but because there would be at least 3-4k Wigan fans there, whereas I'd be surprised if Leeds bring more than around a thousand fans on Sunday.

Away support is a massive issue in RL. West Yorkshire clubs just don't seem to travel in numbers any more. Even Leeds, our only rival in terms of home support can't muster a decent away following these days. They are put to shame by Hull KR, Wire etc. To be honest I laugh at the anti-expansionists who use the low travelling support of faraway clubs to argue against their inclusion when most Yorkshire clubs' fans just can't be bothered to travel 40 miles even for a big game.

It can't be down to stadium quality or travelling on a Friday night in this instance.

Would any Rhinos reading this like to comment on why their travelling support is so poor? What's going on in darkest Yarkshire?

Leeds have sold only 100 more tickets for Sunday than Crusaders have sold for their game at Huddersfield. Read in to that what you will.

Around 12k I reckon. The potential of a repeat fixture in 2 weeks will probably put a few off.

Yeah i keep thinking that. If we won Saturday, we would probably have the same fixture 12 days later. Many people will not turn up.

Under the top 6 format the only possible repeat fixture was the GF itself.

Like a Scotsman with all the generosity squeezed out.

The RFL should just charge £10 and £ 12 down the sides across the board get the fans into the stadium and make it look good on tv, good effort from crusaders as they had no fans in wrexham this time last year.

Last week we got 17,050 against Bradford who brought 150 fans.
In essence the match was a dead rubber (other than the presentation), so we should (on his reckoning) bring a similar number.

Leeds away support is very poor but then it has been for a long time. Whilst they've been up near the top they have a superb home support but they've never travelled in numbers like our fans do or Saints or Wire fans do or in the way the Bulls fans used to when they were top dogs.

They'll limit the crowd to no more then 12k on Sunday.

In Leeds' defence, they did travel to Wembley two weeks ago which probably cost a fortune for some people.

If people think this is a dead rubber they want their heads testing. We need to win the game to get the week off.

Life will be a lot more difficult if we don't win.

I can appreciate maybe some Leeds fans may not travel given the kick off time and it's back to school on Monday for the kids but if we can get 17K for Bradford I'd have thought the desire to support the team through the playoffs would be there "dead rubber" or not. I was expecting a big crowd for this game but it seems I am in the minority.
