That isn't the point though. You can only play what's in front of you with what you've got. The point is that the video ref (in all games) should be able to look at all the incidents from the last play the ball.

From the moment of the last play of the ball i have always thought should be the point where you can start to make a judgement call, but that aside it was a silly bit of play anyway.

The ball comes alive on being played and is dead from the try/no try decision i have always thought seems the fair way.

The offside aside, it was a quality pass from (sic) superleagues best hooker to Jon Wilkin that lead to the try.

Is off side at the Play of the ball not similar to forward passes depends on the angle of the camera?

My feeling on that was he was going to push the button until someone in the Van told him he couldn't go for offside at the PTB

Very entertaining game to watch as a neutral. Wire bottled it, but Saints deserved the win for pressuring them into mistakes. Graham MoM for me.

I think Saints missed a trick by not putting more kicks up for BHM though, instead of the wingers.

Saints when they can get a quick play the ball are devastating... some wonderful offloads.

If we play saints in the play-offs/GF then it will be interesting again to see two different styles of playing rugby in such a big game.

Every game would last two hours. Due to having a life, So I won't I could replay most of the tries this weekend and scrutinise the play the ball the offside at the PTB, etc etc and rule out probably half the tries. In that situation common sense dictates, we were thrown the ball from a mistake.

How far do you want to go with this? The PTB before a try a side is say offside from a kick chase and drag a player back 10 yards?
Watched this try since on Sky plus, Saunts players are still going back as the ball is played, it's marginal at best but personally don't want a system like Union.

Saints crippling injury list!

We only had 6 out injured yet it never gets mentioned!!!!

What 6 (assuming "injured" means unfit to play for the reserves . . . .)

Don't think its as much as 6.

Roberts played for the reserves but isn't 100%.

Then again that can't be right, Nearly all the Saints fans were telling us we didn't have a good squad at the start of they Year!

When Gidley went off against Wakey, at that point we had 11 players missing, all of whom could have featured in the 17 in the same way yours could. We have had between five and ten players missing for each and every match of the season bar the very first one, when just one player was missing, from halftime. He hasn't been seen since.

You can try the sympathy vote all you want but you just haven't been hit by injury to anything like the degree we have, or Catalans or Leeds (earlier in the season) or Quins.

But we aren't complaining about our injuries. The young guys who have stepped in have been tremendous and they give us great encouragement for the future. We have now got the beginnings of our new era team, which is looking decidedly youthful and decidedly local. Nine of our seventeen last night were local lads. I think that's fantastic.

Where's the sympathy vote? All we're saying is that you all moan about injuries saying we've been lucky when we've had just as many as most people.

It's a squad game. Just shut up and get on with it.

We have been doing, or haven't you noticed? You should have done. One of our young guys made sure we beat you last time out.

We aint moaning. We're loving our young talent, all of whom have stepped up brilliantly. It's you guys who keep on insisting you have had it at least as bad as us. You haven't. Simple as.
