If he wants to penalise you he will. Simple as that. The Leeds home game was a classic example. The press during the week had rambled on about our "holding down tactics" and in the opening ten minutes Ganson had it in his mind he was penalising Wigan. It was absolutely ridiculous.

They were all correct calls. We were holding down. The only problem I had with it was that he wasn't consistent when Leeds were holding down.

Why? He had a bad game, but it was a horrible game to referee with dreadful play around the ruck from both sides.

He made a big error with the Coley sin binning, but players also make big errors every week, he is only human. He is still by far the best referee in the competition by some distance.
