| Quote ="Gazwire"I'm over the moon tonight and we played really well. There were some great hits from both sides and to be fair the game could of gone either way.
I thought we were fortunate with a few key decisions and that 2nd half burst you had could/should have taken you further. Any game agains't saints,
leeds and wire (although we can't beat saint's for toffee) are hinged on minor incidents in the game like your near try with roberts foot just in touch.
6 months ago it was gutting when you beat us- especially as it was so close. It was so close tonight. Maguire has worked magic this season and in
the play offs you'll have a few players back and some of the injured back in full fitness. There's hardly any difference between the top 4 sides. Hull,
if they get their pack to full fitness, kr, hudds are all dangerous sides on their day. Another day another result. i'm really chuffed at the mo, same
i guess as you were 6 months back. there's a long way to go. saints will have eastmond and pryce back for the play offs. Leeds should have a fair
few back. Super league the best sport.'"
Excellent post. Wire were the better side side last night but there's nothing between the teams.
Great game again.

| Best team won, IMO our bench was too light, to keep Deacon on the bench for 73 minutes was no piont having him there, IMO Feca would have given a little more punch going forward,
A well chissled wire team with a great game plan, bring on the next couple of weeks.

| I thought this might happen when Coley was ridiculously suspended for two games. We weren't good enough in the forwards coming into the season. We couldn't afford to have injuries and suspensions weaken them further and expect to win.
I was mostly gutted last night because I have a lot of money on Wigan winning the league. A win last night would have put us 6 points clear and I could relax. Now it's anybody's game.

If Wire would of had another big unit or even 1 trick Mick i fear they would of been a massacre scoreline but saying that if we would of had Coley and McIlloram who knows what would of happened.

| They were the better team, but what does my head in, is that it was players they imported that beat us. Not players they've produced. Chris Riley, and Ben Harrison ( The ONLY two Wire Academy players in the starting 13) Alright Harrison produced a couple of good shots, but other than that they did nothing.
Players like Monas, Myler, Briers just tore us up, and i can take it when saints or leeds do it to us, because at least some of their class players are academy produced, unlike warrington whom have imported all their talent, and most of their average squad players too.

Riley did nothing?...did you actually watch the game?
He set up Atkins try with a great kick(knee) through...he set up Westwood for the winning try..AND..the way he chased Paaaat back and forced him wide ..nearly caught him as well!...he was unlucky not to get Sky MoM in my opinion.
to complain about the amount of 'non' Warrington players in our team is a joke.
Was Ellery from Wigan? Offiah? Amos Roberts.
Your an embarrassment to Wiganers who know the game.
PS - the ginger lad that came on for you....is it Farrell?..looked good I thought..strong.

Good job it wasn't Crusaders that beat you
Fair play to both sides, it was a brilliant game. If you had made more of our dropped ball in the opening 20mins it would have been a different game.

| Warringtons pack were very impressive. They have a very big pack and when the big forwards are firing they make lots of metres and can be brutal in defence. On their day, and especially in conditions like last night, they have the best pack in SL in my opinion. Last nights match showed, yet again, that our pack is too lightweight and lacks firepower. We desperately need 2 big forwards, and if the rumours about Hoffman and Lima are true they are just what we need in matches like that.

the difference for me was the forwards coming off the bench...particularly Paul Wood who was very good...he changed the game for me when he came on
