| Clinch and Chester were very poor.
Got to admit it though I did like it when Gavin Clinch used to steal the ball and score on a pretty regular basis.
Didn't he get the nickname Gavin Pinch?

The most annoying thing about Clinch and Chester was that they were a tries and tested partnership with Halifax and were brought as a settled pair and they totally bottled it once they came to Wigan, they had the talent and the ability at Super League level to tear any team apart but totally failed.

| Ged Byrne and Craig Rodgers were 6 and 7 for both Easter games in 1987-88.
How do they rank? Bit young for me.
We won both games though - 10-9 at Saints and 42-14 at home to Swinton.

I recall that was some clever trickery by the coach, how well it worked. O'Loughlin played stand off.

| It's quite funny really, as fans we're so quick to label a player as garbage when often it's more the case that things didn't work out for them in a Wigan shirt.
Greg Florimo is actually a good example, very poor with Mark Reber for us, but there's no denying that outside of a Wigan shirt Greg was a really good player - we just got him a few years too late like with a lot of Aussies over here.

| dennis moran and danny orr.
moran was just garbage and he brought orr down with him, danny orr when partnered with dobson was a totally different player however.
felt sorry for brown then, it was obvious he had the talent but we definately didnt bring him into the first team correctly, he seems just to be getting his career back on track now to be fair to him.
does anyone know what happened to moran after he left us?
however dennis moran did win us the game against UTC in the cup at the jjb, how embarrasing that night was, getting tonked by a part time french club.

Moran joined Widnes following his time with Wigan.
At London Moran was a quality player and Adrian Lam recommended him to Wigan as a player he rated highly.
I believe Moran could of been a success at Wigan playing off somebody like Micheal Dobson but it was clearly a mistake handing him the main play making role vacated by Lam before him.
