Agreed, for all the big hits he was putting in, his passing from dummy half on several occasions where awful. We knocked on 3 times during the game from passes around the ankles that he gave out from dummy half.

yes he played well but his distribution was far too slow and when we were pressing for a try, his slow passes gave the defence time to push up.

When we had that spell on their line in the second half McIlorum was on the filed.

Would we have had a better chance at that point with Riddell on, giving that his distribution is generally better than Mickey Macs.

The loss of Feka and Hock late on, didn't help us either in that they are both players who can "bust" defences.

Yes we were camped on their line for 3 or so sets and the movement from the ptb was woeful.

I think it would be fairer to say we missed Tommy going 9. Every game he has had a stint at 9 this year we have gone on to win the game. IIRC.

McIllorum has lots of aggression and really knows how to hurt them int the tackle, his scoots are great too.

His discipline could land him in bother in the future but I would rather him be over aggressive than not aggressive.
