| It's catch 22, Pryce needs games to get back to his previous form but going off his efforts pre season he's not ready to build up match fitness. Pryce will likely improve and cement a spot in the 2nd half of the season, pushing Aincough further down the pecking order. This is the chance Ainscough will need to take so I'd give him a shot.

and if you add a match fit pryce into that once carmont retires we have power aswell, perfect backline.

| Pryce needs time. When Wigan signed him it was said to be long term project. Expecting him to play only 15 months after being signed is asking too much surely.

Agreed, Richards is obviously the safe bet a fullback with Roberts just settling in. Also pairing Carmont and Ainscough gives Ainscough cover in defence but he also gets put into good positions by Carmonts great passing game.

| Pryce has done well tbf.
A lot of people on here came out and said they doubted he'd ever play for us! He's taken that first step, which is a massive step btw, and now he's gotta be playing regularly in order to get confidence and form.
It's a no brainer really; no one can come back from two seasons off and be in a good vein of form straight away. Of course he's going to be slow and off the pace. He needs game time.
We are far to quick to write players off at this club. Pryce is one player who we have to give a lot of time to cause heās got undoubted potential

Agree with that
I fear that if the likes of S. Tomkins and Ainscough don't get their chance sooner rather than later we could end up losing them which would be disastrous

| Roberts and Richards both picked up knocks as well
Phelps is most likely going to miss Castleford next week.
Ainscough could well get his chance, I would like to see Pryce included if he's going to get match fitness he needs to start somewhere.

I was just going to sugest this, it is exactly what he needs in my opinion, a month by month rolling loan would suit us down to the ground, it would give his fitness a much needed boost, allow us to check on his attitude against other experienced pro's and means he does not have to wait till the reserves (which is a lower standard anyway i feel) to get started prior to even being considered for first team action with Wigan.
Ainscough to start vs Cas.

Dont you get it, its all part of Nobles grand vision, let the kids go to Rah rah, then sign them back on massive contracts using his salary cap credit thing for signing RU Players.

| Hope i'm wrong but i think Pryce will never do anything at Wigan. Even when he hit form at Bradford as a young lad i thought he could do so much more with the right attitude.
Don't think anyone should get there hopes up that this guy will kick-start our season.

| who are these people who say we should play ainscough - You obviously have no idea - Yeah he had a good game against Warrington, but we were playing against kids - People who he plays week in week out in the reserves.
Ainscough would not be a handful - He's fast, but thats it - Like someone else said, he's a no brainer.
Why do people think that the likes of Sam Tomkins etc. can save Wigan? Based on pre-season games against kids... We've got an awsome squad as it is, your just being impatient - They aren't ready to play yet - Sam Tomkins would get thrown around the field against the likes of Saints and Leeds, as would Shaun A.
