Mason didnt want to know at the DW when Tommy cracked him after hitting Hansen from behind. Put him up against Carmont or Feka. I suppose Mcllorum could always explode then we would have to clear the pitch.

I dont think that O'Loughlin would have got anymore than a ticking off even if it were a kicker.
If he had grabbed him then I would say definitely sin bin but he only shoves him it would even only be a shoulder charge in football!

Can I just clear up what the REFEREE actually had to go on?

He was told by his touch-judge that the shot was "a little late, but the contact was with the shoulder and ON the shoulder".

So basically, the ball had left a fraction of a second earlier, but Locky carried on with a shoulder-charge.

Now REGARDLESS of what the slow-motion replays show, the referee can only take action based on what is reported to him.

So Nathan, I suggest that you stop whining and start trying to figure out how to stop the top team in the league.

It's situations like this that I would love to see a Gareth Hock/Terry Newton type player in the side. We don't really have a sh-thouse in our current side.

In all fairness if Keiron Cunnigham had done it to Sam Tomkins I would expect one of our big players to knock Cunninghams head off aswell so I can kind of see where Nathan Brown is coming from, plus I'm sure he wouldn't have seen the replays of it before commenting.

lets see what happens in a couple of weeks' time then, i say. perfectly legitimate tackle if you ask me, just looks worse cos lockers is a big guy and robinson, well, isn't. coupled up with the momentum lockers had and the fact robinson was travelling the way he was, plus robinson wasn't even looking where he was going so you have to accept that kind of bosh going into a hit the way he did.

The bit about Nathan Brown and Maguire having abit of history makes the game next week more exciting, Brown looked in pain when we were blitzing them in the 2nd half and Maguire was happy as a pig in shít. Interesting

This off-field tough talk seems to be typical of a certain type of Aussie RL guy. Down Under you've got the gentlemen of the game - the Darren Lockyers, Mike Maguires etc - and then you've got the gobshyttes. Some Aussie journos were insensed to the point of wanting someone to "shut Leon Pryce's big mouth" because he joked that he'd rather be on Blackpool beach than Bondi Beach. Mark O'Meley was famously quoted as saying that, if he'd been playing on the day Mason knocked Fielden out, he'd have been up there swinging with him. This is the same Mark O'Meley who so far is making almost no impact on the British game. Mark Carroll came to GB on a tide of tough talk, and got battered from pillar to post. And now we've got Nathan Brown, who seems to have a similar indiscreet attitude to public pronouncements.

Whoever expressed surprise that this topic has got to 14 pages was right. We should all have a giggle, and then move onto something much more important.

It's a shame, cause I really thought Brown had grown up and learned from some of the bull he did at St George.
