I'd be amazed if he didn't, nothing too over the top though, it helps that he got a punishment at the time as well. 2-3 games given his good record I'd say

The comparison was about (potentially) bans not effecting big games, not the offences being the same.

Really Bowen should've got a ban for the one he did if being honest.

And it's not a Leeds bias thing as I wouldn't disagree if Sinfield gets 3 matches and misses the Wire cup game.

Had we been out of the cup the next three games would've been Salford, Bradford, London. Even I'd admit the odds of it being 3 would be stronger if that was the fixture list.

difference being one head butted a player deliberate foul play and the other tackled a player high with a swinging arm. Like i said compare apples to apples, you would have a point if bowen head butt grix and didn't get banned.

So you don't think Bowen's was foul play. He nearly took Grix's head off. Talk about blinkered!!!

there is a difference between that and head butting a player, if you can't understand that then its you who is blinkered.

Again though it's not a case of one incident being a headbutt and one being a high shot......it's a case that BOTH were worthy of a ban. One wasn't punished and the other one is TBD.

Another example, had Westwood's punch on Green only ruled him out of regular season games do you think it'd be more than the one game that saw him miss the meaningless Italy friendly?

But one is a worse offence unless there has been another swinging arm offence that got a ban then you can compare them but we are talking about violent foul play with a head butt. Somebody Mentioned Kris Welham head butted Dorn as well but didn't get banned (i haven't see that), you can compare them and use that as precedent.

Thats like saying somebody who stole 10 quid from a corner shop only got community service so then an armed robber should expect the same.

I'm not saying they're the same or that the Bowen should get as many games as Sinfield's one (it shouldn't, Sinfield's is worth more) but it's an incident where the punishment (or lack of it) seemed influenced by what was coming up game wise.

But that is completely an opinion as their are other cases where somebody hasn't been banned for a high tackle or a swinging arm. like i said apparently Welham didn't get banned for a head butt and if it was rule a head butt but didn't get a ban then you have a point.

if sinfield gets the same disciplinary committee that welham had then he's gonna get off scott free
