Not necessarily. I think they have been quite clever in what they have given us in the teaser image, making it look like the usual hoops. However, if the dots are in straight lines, the red hoops/stripes would be on an angle.

Call me old fashioned but I like the cherry & white hoops. I'll keep my gob shut and say nothing until I see the shirt though.

I think Wigan have realised that there is only so much they can do with cherry & white hoops so every 3rd year we're having something different. Personally I think it's a great idea. The old Puma kit proved to be a very successful and, in my opinion, an iconic kit.

I'm with you. The cherry and white hoops shirt with white or cherry shorts is what Wigan wear. Why mess around with it? The 2011 kit was dire, with the last two just right. Saying that there is only so much you can do with Cherry and white hoops surely applies to any club with a two colour scheme (Saints, Salford, Hull FC, Widnes). It never seems to bother Everton/Liverpool/MUFC/MCFC does it ?

You can add black edging, change the collar, the width of the hoops, have a watermark, change the location of the various badges/logos, etc.

You won't see New York Yankees, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Celtic, the All Blacks change their kit.

Wigan Warriors are an iconic world famous club. They should act like one.
