Saints a given for the final after that game tonight and I don’t mean that because I wasn’t impressed with Catalans. I thought they were excellent but unfortunately the man who lead their aggression, line speed and intensity in Micky Mac will be banned. How he stayed on the field was a minor mystery but how he avoided giving a penalty away was just incredible. Obviously there were no calls for a red from the Sky boys but he’ll pick up a couple of games for that with his previous record.

Thought it was a bit of a farce that game. Red cards for Mcilorum and Tomkins would have changed the game completely. Add that to the fact Leeds lost two props early and you would imagine it will be quite easy for St Helen's.

Joel deserves whatever he gets. I thought the criticism of MM was way OTT. It was without doubt a penalty but it wasn’t a high swinging arm, Dwyer was going down. I know others will disagree but I thought it was unfortunate rather than careless or reckless.

Manfredi likely still out for this game and probably the final. Step up Bibby!

I must’ve been watching a different incident with Micky Mac, I thought it was a shocker, a definite red and it should be a ban of at least a couple of games.

I mean compare that to Ben Flowers two game ban for tackling a man but daring to lift himself a centimetre off the floor for 0.1 seconds. Brad Dwyer ended up an absolute mess on the back of it. I’d also compare it to Greenwood’s and say it was worse. Greenwood’s was just daft, he clearly meant it but it was a love tap in comparison and was never going to do a great deal of damage

Really? It was a clear closed fist with intent, thuggery at its finest and he should of walked for that, attempting to then pick the injured player off the ground was also uncalled for.

As expected the sky commentary team did their best to defend him but it was a shocker imo.

If he’s still a Wigan player and he does that, the reaction is totally different. I’ve been flabbergasted these past couple of months at just how down the Sky commentary team are on Wigan. I’m not one for believing there is any great deal of bias from them to one team or another usually but it’s been embarrassing these last few weeks. I think the fact that a lot of them have previous connections to Wigan and with that can come accusations of bias has made them go overboard the other way.

He’s struggling with his knee and looks unlikely to play according to Lam in the week.

Lockers will play and I would play him but only from the bench.

Id probably be looking to release him if hes still out with his knee, good player on his day but its never his day anymore

You can't just release players that are under contract.

Not necessarily aimed at you, but it's a pretty simple thing to understand and it's exactly the same with Burgess too.

It sounds a pretty minor issue with there being a bit of floating bone causing him discomfort. It would be a quick op and back in 2-3 weeks but they’ve not got that time now.

He’s played enough games this year to not worry me too much but I do think it’s asking for trouble next season if we rely on his availability too much. Over time, I could see Manfredi doing a Willie Isa (who was a winger at the start of his career) and move in to the forwards. He’s shown this year he’s still freakishly strong, he’s tough, brave and defends with real aggression but his pace does look to have dropped.
