That’s a very fair assessment of him

Came in and did a lot better than I expected and due to injury took and earned his opportunity well.

It’s sometimes forgotten that we provided a lifeline for him as Catalans we’re trying to offload him due to his off field behaviour and the groups he was mixing with away from the club.

He played a pretty important role in our 2018 season and that should not be forgotten.

I don’t know what he is paid just see the rumours on here and I I’ve no idea what his attitude is like again just see comments on here.

What I would say that IF he is on as big a wage as is rumoured, fair play to him, that’s not his fault.

I’d also say at his age he needs to be playing regular first team rugby and there are only probably 2 or 3 clubs he can get that at in SL so a move to one makes sense for him.

Good luck to the lad I’ve no issue with him and I’m sure if he ends up at Salford he will be a decent fit for them due to his style and that of Evalds who he will be replacing.

Got an international fullback no good paying top dollar for a player who isn't Wigan class.

Correct, but because Escare is now out of favour, there is no need for some supporters to be calling him names and making up wild tales about him.

For me on the pitch Escare did okay, pushing good. People have said things about his off pitch behaviours/attitude but I don’t think I have read any particular story or any facts, just whispers. I was at the fans day at Orrell the season before last and he stayed longer than any other player and watched the juniors and reserves afterwards.

I remember Wigan fans saying this about him.

When both players look back at their careers I wonder who will be more embarrassed? Probably not the one wearing the Grand Final winners ring.

Barba ? Is he the guy Oliver Gildart went round easier than he could a wheelie bin ?

Barba did of course win the NRL in 2016 but rather than do what Escare did in 2017, he was banned for drugs.

Of course, any views posted on here are just personal opinions you can choose to take or leave. The fact is though, the Wigan head coach doesnt think hes good enough either.

Evidently, some other Coaches have a different opinion, judging by his loan at Wakefield and his rumoured move to Salford who both have two good young Coaches in Chester and Watson.

Did a good job for us when we did not have a good alternative fullback before the signing under Wane of Hardacre!

It seems that Escare has a problem with certain coaches as that was the reason that he left Catalans and from what i got told by a former Saints player whose son is now on Wigan's books he refused to play on Dual Registration for Swinton.I do hope he can find a good home(probably Salford) as he would suit the way Ian Watson's teams play and Evalds can go to Castleford with immediate effect for a small fee

Salfprd need a new fullback and Escare may be the best thats available to them. Wakefield, i cant recall what cover they have at fullback but obviously they think Escare offered them something more than they had. This does not mean he is good enough, it just means hes the best available to do the job required at the time. At Wigan we dont need a fullback that can 'do a job', we have two that can do the job to a much higher standard than Escare.
The fact that Escare cant shift Hardaker or French means hes not good enough.

Maybe you and one or two others are right, but is there any need to be making adverse comments about any player, the moment they are replaced.

More fair minded supporters would just wish them all the best wherever they go

I dont see how saying hes not good enough is being 'adverse', its just a simple observation. Its not a new thing for fans to judge players on their ability.
