| Come on, JP has carried the Leeds pack week in week out, look at his Stats against us last week, almost double the metres any other forward on either team made, and loads of tackles too.
Coley has had a fine season, but shouldn't be mentioned in the same class as Peacock.
I'm gutted for the guy that he won't be able to play at Wembley.

Based on reputation, which is flawed.
Whilst you've admitted not seeing Leeds that much this season (nor have I), we have seen how well Coley's been playing.

| Gotta say I agree, on this seasons form it should be coley over peacock, fit or not, peacock has had a poor season. As somebody else has pointed out though it makes not a jot of difference becasue we have a joke of a coach!

Have a look at the comparative stats between Coley and Peacock, if that's a poor season I'll have some of that.

So why shouldnt Coley get picked over him. Were not top for no reason, its obviously on the back of great work by our forwards. Graham and Morley would be my starting props after that its up for grabs. As someone has already said maybe its a blessing in disguise. Someone else will get a go instead of the same players being picked all the time that do nothing.'"
You my friend should be on stage.
Everything about JP's game this year has been superior to Coley's.
Coley's played twice more and made less meters.
Coley makes 1m less per carry.
27 less offloads
Less tackle busts
Less tackles
Less clean breaks
Less marker tackles
The only things Coley has in his favour are less missed tackles and less errors.

Coley makes more errors if you take into account the number of times both players carry the ball.

| Peacock started the season poorly by his own standards as I recall but, lately, he's been immense for Leeds. Then again, I have to agree with some of the other posters. I haven't seen him look really good at test level since 2007. His effort is never questionable but he just doesn't seem to have the same effectiveness against the Aussies/Kiwis that he used to. Morley is also fading at test level. For me, Graham has to stand up and be the man in England's front row from now on. Coley has been very good this season, one of several possibilities for the England squad. Eorl Crabtree was pretty good in the 4 Nations last year. Fielden has improved dramatically but still not quite enough in my view. Carvell is very useful. Maybe we should get Keith Mason in there to niggle the Aussies?!

The problem is that Morley, Graham and Peacock dominate for their clubs, taking it in all the time. The Wigan props' stats look poor in comparison as they share the workload more equitably, and the wingers at Wigan do more hard graft. At international level they have to share out the workload and therefore are not as effective. Graham, as the younger man, should now step up to another level.

If you compare Pat Richards with Ryan Hall - Pat has played 2 more games (25 - 23) and taken 92 more carries (412 - 320) making 764 metres (3394 - 2630) more than Hall.
Goulding has played 3 more games than Scott Donald (18 - 15), made 77 more drives (211 - 134) and 733 more metres (1748 - 1015).
Similarly, Hicks and Riley don't have the same workload as the Wigan wingers.

Fair point.
It is also down to the number of times the ball is shipped out to the wingers. If you're very forward orientated and drive down the middle and put a kick in, then your wingers dont see much of the ball and cant make as many carries and meters.

Peacocks meters per carry are still higher and more tackles form less games, what this has to do with wingers I have no idea.

| Morley will be captain, I'd like to think that Coley would get a shot now but the smart money has to be on two of Crabtree/Westwood/Jones-Buchanan/Lynch

| Firstly a agree about Coley's form this year but i wouldn't pick him for England. I'd go for someone younger.
Graham and Morley are Certs. Paul Wood at wire has had a great season, there's Crabtree, LMS, Scruton (not sure where he is with injury), Lynch, Carvell and only Wigan fans would agree: Fielden.

Lynch by a mile if he's fit. Then Fielden/Coley. Then Scruton. Then Wood.

| Where does everyone think Leeds will finish this year? With their best player out and the distraction of the cup taking its toll I can see them losing that last game away at Hull F.C. If they do that puts them on 33 points, Huddersfield are in form, currently on 29 points and have a much better points difference than Leeds with Salford and Les Catalans for their last two games, if they win those two and Leeds lose that Hull game then Leeds would finish 6th! I'm probably just doom mongering but it would make for a very interesting play off series.
