I thought the evidence against Ganson was very conclusive - according to alleged reports. Some certainly thought we wouldn't be seeing him for quite a while.

If this were the case, what has happened for all charges to be dropped? I trust that there is no truth in the alleged rumour that Saints have intervened and made an out of court settlement to make sure their secret weapon is still available to officiate at some of their crucial matches.....

I'd be happy with Ganson reffing the WCC, or Alibert too.
We may get that as Wayne Bennett doesn't whinge about referees.

Some options: he didn't actually do anything wrong, he was just in the wrong place at the wrong time; there was not enough evidence to prove he did anything wrong (the legal system being based upon the principle of beyond reasonable doubt); the charge was malicious in the first place. Take your pick. It doesn't matter. He is innocent.






It would be great for our chairman to have that kind of power.

As things are, I'd sooner have Ganson officiating than any other ref in Britain. The players like him too. Tough but fair.

Not quite. The phrase is that the jury must be "sure so that they are certain". I was foreman of a jury a year or 2 ago, so I heard it quite a few times! The phrase of "beyond reasonable doubt" is not used in UK courtrooms.



He's not innocent, as he didn't go to trial and be found not guilty. Neither is he guilty. As far as the law is concerned, he's neither innocent nor guilty. If further evidence comes to light, then he could still be tried for the same offence.

Waiting on official confirmation Utd won't be in the Europa League on the Thursday before meaning Latics have to play Sunday.

What would happen if the impossible happend (utd to be in europa league) that would throw the WCC into madness
