What brown said was right, but should have been said behind closed doors. IMO he's got himself in to trouble and put pressure on mason falalongo(spelling). The next time you pies meet hudds the ref is going to watch them like a hawk.

Me thinks there is some bad blood between Mcguire and Brown. Especially the way Mcguire celebrated after the game.

The fact that he wanted to talk more about this incident than the game itself speaks volumes for me.

As you say, the challenge was nowhere near as bad as some are making out. You see its like every week in SL - sometimes it earns the malefactor a sin-binning, sometimes it doesn't. It was certainly nothing like as savage as the famous Joe Lydon on Paul Bishop incident at Wembley (which itself was supposedly a bit of afters for something equally nasty earlier on).

But for Brown to chunner on in this way, rather than discuss the finer details of what was in effect a table-topping clash and one of the few competitive matches at Murrayfield, casts him in a very bad light. He's comes over as being a sore loser and a soft sod into the bargain. Very disappointed in a bloke who previously I respected.

Did he get any punishment for this? Surely the second time he's made a public outburst to this effect he should get some kind of punishment, otherwise he will definitely have the green light to say stuff like this any time he wants. It wasn't even a dirty game yesterday, no fighting (unless you count Mason v McIllorum but that was nothing really) and no injuries from foul play. The player who really deserved 10 minutes was Keith Mason who was niggling at everybody.
