thought the tickets will allow you to sit in the family stand behind the sticks for the same price

Whilst £20 is steep to stand up at Salford, I've got the two kids in for nowt (they got a 'free away games' booklet with their Season Tickets), so not too bad.

We will be there as per usual.

Although i didnt get offered the chance to buy at £18 from the Wigan ticket office. Always buy away tickets in advance and always get the discount.

Salford decided that the pre-purchase discount would only apply to those buying their tickets through Salford, no doubt related to the fact that Wigan keep 10% of whatever is sold at the DW. Sadly there is no RFL legislation to prevent this, nor is there likely to be any change.

Last year a lot of Salford fans had got free tickets through some kind of promotion, and some were selling them (or even giving them away) outside the ground. We bought some for a fiver each off a bloke on the church car park opposite.

Its our last ever visit to salford so we should and pack the away end out and try and outnumber the home fans

Park on the Church Car Park by the Willows at the junction of Weaste Lane and Chandos Grove. We've parked there for years without incident.

We should start a policy against clubs who have tiered ticket prices & charge more when a club like Wigan come to visit.

Charge their supporters exactly the same as what Wigan supporters were upon their return to the DW.

£20 is hardly expensive. Perhaps this is why League is such a minority sport.

Charging supporters what we get charged when we go away wont work and doesnt make business sense as we always take alot more to away grounds then most in SL and wont get much back when they come here, we charge huddersfield,quins and catalan more when we dont open the north stand.

You usually have to go to the ticket office to collect them but give yourself plenty if time as they are not the quickest. Safe journey over.

We don't have a "tiered " pricing system it's £20 for all away teams this season.

Well thats made our (6 of us) minds up. £20 to stand up in a hole. We are not going. The point is not the £20, its the fact that its for standing !

Standing > Seating every day at events like this. Seated stadiums have killed the atmosphere.

I assume it's for ground admission, which means that you'll be able to sit down under cover behind the sticks if you want - might even allow you in the stand down the touchline, although I'm not sure whether that's ticketed differently.

TBF you can sit down if you want in the family stand ( behind the sticks) with the standing ticket, im taking my lad and sitting there .

As others have pointed out, you can still sit.

I usually prefer standing, but with being there for the reserves game as well I think I'll be in with the lazy crowd for this one! Don't think my old knees are up to standing for 4 hours+.

Unsafe parking? Seriously, its just a myth, in the past 5 years I've heard of two cars getting bricked, which one of them was actually a Salford fans car, it hardly ever happens it just gets exaggerated. As for the £20 tickets, it is abit dear, but I think it's because of the season ticket prices were so low, however it doesn't help the away fans which is a shame as I imagine quite a few fans most think of coming over and get put off by the price sometimes.

That happened to me the year before last, a Salford fan gave me a ticket for free, even when I offered him some money. Paid up front this year though.

Did somebody say that you could claim your tram fare from Manchester city centre back? Seem to remember this on a thread but can't find it. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I'm going straight from work to watch the U20s first.
