I picture with all the backs it looks like Gelling has been signed with the intention of playing centre not second row as I thought, what a beast though!

Gelling is as big as Karl Pryce and if he's got the skill of Karl pryce then we're just waiting to see if he has the main ingredient that Pryce lacked and thats heart.

Here's hoping.

Id imagine the fact that Gelling is known for playing in the forwards he might have a bit more of that aggression and heart that Pryce so often lacked!

Joel Tomkins had the aggression and power at centre but didn't have the awareness and passing game. I agree with you Gelling could be a massive player for the future if he has the aggression of a forward and can provide for his wing man.

In my head. Gelling will be the new Sonny Bill Williams. A monster player with a great offload/passing

Gelling will definantly have the agression which Karl Pryce lacked having played in the forwards. I hope he runs the ball in hard when he needs to from the back. He has experience at centre which Joel didn't really have much of. Not only that, he has played 6 for the Cook Islands, yes it isn't the highest level but IMO it shows he MUST have a decent passing game and good vision, why else could he have been picked in that role?

I am really excited about this signing. I have a feeling he will be an improvement on Joel at centre.

Interesting that he played at 6. I didnt know that. You could assume for someone so big to be picked at 6, they must have some kind of creativity in their style of play. Hopefully that means he knows how to create space for players around him, always a must for a good centre. His size that wide out on the field could draw in 2 or 3 defenders anyway.

On the other hand, Karl Pryce played at 6 for Jamaica a couple months ago.

Has there been a better club man than Rads in the Super League era? Every entry in this blog just makes me like and respect him more. I suppose Saints fans might argue a case for Cunningham, who has been and continues to be a great servant to their club but I can't think of anybody else that comes close.

Does anyone else get the sense from reading these blogs that we are in for one hell of a year? Everything rads says which I believe suggests we are really determined to go and get that super league trophy back. I predict another successful year for wigan!

I think we all hope that wayne has the know how at manager level, He defo has the heart and he will NOT be thinking we will see how we go.
He will be going to win every game.

I think if we start well and get a roll on i dont think he will let up on the guy's and the lads will be right behind him and the team will get better and better ect.

If we start slow this could be the test with the lads to really see if they buy into wayne.

I think, We WILL be up their this season I know we have lost allot of older heads but we have some tallent, And if they all step up i cant se us loosing to many games.
