He went 6 solid years in the NRL without missing a single game through injury. He's had one shoulder injury that went again, fixed properly the second time.
He was out because he sprained/rolled his ankle.
Just because it's pretty obvious you know feck all about his injury.

If he plays in the first team he should replace Tony Clubb so we wont notice a difference when he does two 5 minute stints. (In fairness Clubb actually did over 20 in his first stint tonight although how much work he did during that time is debatable!)

Clubb did the first 23 and last 7/8mins. I barely noticed he was on to be honest. Same with Clarke

I think GB should just be thrown in if fit. Let him play himself into fitness. If he can do a decent 10 minutes each half it will be more than what Clubb is doing.

If anyone needs to go into the reserves its Clubb. He is serving up some of the worst senior prop displays since SeuSeu landed at Manchester airport and claimed his head was made of granite.

Just remember we gave him a new 2 year contract.

I’m stumped as to what is going on with Clubb. He did 22 mins or so in his first spell and then about 5 mins at the end. It’s not high impact stuff he’s producing, so I’m at a loss as to why he is getting in the side. I guess he’s not fully fit and carrying some sort of injury but surely Lam doesn’t think he’s that important he needs to play him.

Unfortunately he's not only producing sub standard stuff himself but he's also having a negative effect on those around him. It was plain as day that we try to work the ball out through the backs while he is on. As soon as Bullock came on we started to work it through the forwards. The impact that is having on our ability to attack is undeniable. I made a point of watching him during one part of the game and it's clear he's not even offering himself as an option for the most part. Lam needs to act now.

In Bullock, (a fit) Burgess, Flower, Clark, Havard, Byrne and Kilner we have more than enough firepower to make ground through the forwards. That's no use though if Lam is going to persist with Clubb, especially as a starter. We can't keep waiting 20 mins (if he's doing one of his long stints!) before we start to bend the opposition line.

If Burgess has a degenerative hip injury as the rumours suggest, I cannot see him playing several games in your reserves.

He's a marquee signing with an injury that needs managing, and your in the same boat as we are with Widdop. Time will tell if they are fit and able to earn their money over the entire season, but this won't be through a series of games in the reserves.

The two of them where dreadfully absent of any impact last night. Cas must’ve been delighted to get rid of Clarke. He was puffing out his backside after a few tackles.

We got Tyla Hepi as a replacement and he looks twice the player.

He has to go Clubb. The decision to give him a 2yr contract looks more of an embarassment as each game passes. A waste of a prop, a waste of money and a waste of time.

I think any criticism of Clark is unfair - he put himself about when he was on the field. Thought it was a reasonable first hit out from him.

I agree, it was a steady debut. Ran hard and defended well. No issues for me.

60 metres from 6 carries for Clark. I thought he looked much fitter than he did playing for Leigh last year and showed some good signs.

Clark made 62 metres from 6 carries which is more metres than Clubb would make from 12 carries probably, Flower comes in for Clubb and Burgess for Lockers next week imo

I just didn’t notice he was on, sounds like he had a decent game so I’ll take any criticism back for Clarke.

Fair enough. The best and most effective players do tend to do the stuff that’s unnoticed. I’ll try better to look out for him next time!
