Webb could be a good signing and the enforcer we need.
Sam T has only just got into his first season and the thugs and cheap shot merchants are already having a go. They could well be put off if Webb was in the team and he could be the protection policy for Sam and the other young players we will be bringing through in the next two years or so.

As for top class props, that sort of money will only be available when Fielden & Feka are OOC and IL can re-negotiate or replace.

I hope what you have heard/read is true. Webb is the exact type of player Wigan need to be targeting.

Not claiming any inside knowledge, just repeating what has apparently been written in the Aussie version of League Express, given his conviction and the current visa situation i would say him coming to SL is highly unlikely.

The deal was done weeks ago, we can't go back and change it really.

We've not got the recruitment for next year right so far either and if we go with the squad we have at the moment I doubt we'll challenge again.

Well get ready to be disappointed, because Lenegans already signaled that it's very unlikely we'll sign anyone for 2010, however he say's if we were to sign someone they would have to be of the highest quality, yet on the other hand he claims we have little money left under the salary cap. Mixed messages are all I'm getting and ones that signal to me no one is coming in for 2010.

Just read an article that stated Ben Cohen is moving back to England to play for Sale Sharks, also two years ago he was eyeing up a move to Wigan, I really to believe he would have been immense was this ever a likely transfer or was it just paper talk?

Never rated him as a Union player so he certainly wouldn't be worth the money we would have to pay. Massively over-rated even by the standards of English RU players.
