The Hull KR game takes on a little more of a challenge with Sheens being sacked, when a coach is sacked the team tends to respond well in the next game. That said I still would expect a victory at the weekend, we may be playing poor but we’re still a better side then KR.

Following on from that it’s Leeds at home, Huddersfield away and Salford at home. I would expect to beat Leeds but Huddersfield and Salford will be a challenge. They’re both improving are well capable of toppling us. 4 from 4 and I’d be very happy . First game in July is KR at home (win) and then Saints away. That game is key for me to show how much we’ve either improved, stayed the same, or gotten worse. if we win the next 6 I’m all in for Lam. 5 of those games are very winnable and a performance v Saints, especially away, would go a long way into turning people from being anti Lam to Pro Lam.

I know we have signed some over the hill players in the past, but even we wouldnt have given Clubb a 2 year deal

Clubb should be retiring not signing on for another 2 years.

What a slap in the face to all fans. Build this up like it's super exciting times for fans, fans get their hopes up and wonder if it's a Jackson Hastings, Kallum Watkins or even James Maloney type of signing to warrant such a build up.

Difficult to find a prop in any of the Super League club's first 17's that would be a worse option than Clubb. If anyone could find one to cheer me up I'd appreciate it.

Fully agree with every word you've said here. It will need to be the one hell of a comeback of announcements to turn this around.

I would still expect a win though. Leeds on paper may have a half decent team but they’re poor in execution.

The club have made a mistake talking up this announcement.
We have a reserve league next year and these are signings to play for the reserves. They will be expected to play SL when required and will provide far better quality than promoting lads from the U19s.
Radlinski says there are more to come and they will be SL/NRL quality to replace first team players leaving/retiring.
I'm ok with all these signings and extensions and look forward to the signings of first team players plus a head coach for next season.
The club does need to look at its marketing though. This is a PR disaster!

I genuinely believe that out of the next 6 games that we may lose up to 5 matches with 3 I think 3 of those teams currently below us in table. If that happens and London win a game or 2 then we will be really in the shoite.
I've been worried for a while but the Barcelona performance I think showed the true potential of this current squad who seem quite oblivious that we are in a relegation scrap rather than in the hunt for a top 5 slot.
A defeat at HKR will knock the moral out of squad with no player or players for me currently capable to step up to the plate with SOL a pale shadow of a few years ago and not one other player to take up his mantle.
I was quietly hoping for some new troops today with the recent disposals but I think that hope is probably assigned to false hope.
I really do believe that the HKR game will decide if relegation is a reality this season or delayed for another season unless some 4 or 5 new players arrive with proven quality. I'm not sure if this current squad is capable of raising the quality of their game and I'm even less sure of Lam's capabilities in raising the quality of the teams performance

Must admit that was the biggest surprise from today for me. I’m not sure if his contract was up or not but I saw a years extension at best really. He’s clearly committed and will hit anything that moves but he doesn’t look capable of making the ground you need from a prop. In fairness to him maybe if we had 3 or 4 other props making good ground then we could use him to rattle some cages in short bursts.

At least Radlinski has dangled the carrot informing us of more signings 'very soon'. The fact he had to follow up this 'huge announcement' with a reassuring statement says it all.

You're absolutely right. But, the way they built the announcements up led the fans to feel that they've been led down the garden path. While ultimately it's the fans fault, they've ed a lot of fans off with the underwhelming (to put it mildly) nature of these generally positive signings and re-signings.

For me, it shows how out of touch (at best) they are/how much they don't care about the fans. I expect season ticket sales for next season and walk up sales for this season to plummet following this laughable exercise.

I’m not sure this has been a bad thing at all? Fans have been screaming out for some positivity and screaming even louder for an announcement. On Monday, the club released a single tweet saying ‘Thursday’ and nothing more.
Speculation built up and expectation of confirmed signings became understandably widespread. The drip fed the announcements of 8 players throughout the morning and topped it by saying there’s more to come.
I’m ok with that. We’ve made a good start and let’s see how things progress before reaching for the 2020 panic button!
