Anyone else had the letter for the opening game against Huddersfield saying how you can take a friend for free if your a season ticket holder?

A cracking incentive and it should ensure a really good crowd for the game.

Yeah. Got two tickets together in the West. Nice little surprise to come home from work to, along with those bloody 'Warriors together' car stickers that everyone was whinging about

Whilst sometimes a good inictive I never get this one.

I can take a friend for free. Problem is, said friend can't come in the bar with me before and after the game as he isn't a ST holder and as there are no free seats near my prime half way line seat, I either can't sit with him or I have to give my prime seat up. Erm.....

If there's more than two of you with season tickets though, then you can get multiple free tickets and get them together. They won't be right next to you, but at least then your friend can take a friend and won't be on their own.

Had been wondering when details of this would be announced, so was glad to find a letter about it when I got in last night. I'd assumed they'd do it for the London or Catalan games we've got on Sunday afternoons, rather than the opening game which might've attracted a decent crowd anyway.

Should ensure a good number on for the first round, at least - if everyone took them up on the offer, we'd have 20k for starters?

20k would be a great crowd for this and that should probably be the aim. We should have 10-10,500 season ticket holders by the start of the season and i'd guess there would be a take up of 3 or 4 thousand of these free tickets. Add in the people who just pay on the gate or buy as a one off and we shouldn't be far off.

Huddersfield will also help by bringing a good 3 or 4.........fans.

I suppose it is simple but in practice it just won't be.

Most people in the East and West stands just won't bother because they won't want to give up their usual seat. Many people won't bother as they just can't be bothered 'sorting it out'. It should put an extra couple of thousand on the gate though.

Lastly I thought the club had a no free tickets policy. I am dissapointed they have dropped it. This devalues the season ticket itself.

Should be two cracking crowds at the start of the season though. Could be both 17k+. Hopefully make up for not having the home game against saints at a reasonable time.

I'm in the West and there's two of us with season tickets. We got two tickets together elsewhere in the stand so I don't have to move seats. I don't know many people who have just one season tickets. I was only on the phone for 5 minutes to get the tickets so it isn't much sorting out.
