ah well, crack on and get on with it if you ask me. even those of us who were against his sinbinning and resulting ban were probably aware that he would be banned. i'm not happy about the ban, but i'll accept it.

MM and his team will work his magic with him and i don't think we will suffer without him against les catalans.

lima will be back better than before and we can all forget about it. glad to see clarkson isn't injured so we should move on now.

I have just seen the shot from Carvell on the Catalans player. How on earth he has got away with it I will never know.

That is only your interpretation of it though. As regards the RFL at least they have been consistent this season for this type of tackle (Clarkson). Just hope he (Lima) can learn from this for the future. They haven't got it in for Wigan. Catalans had the same problem last season with a player getting constant bans for committing a certain type of tackle over and over again.

I thought he would get a game. If he had get nothing then the RFL would have been saying that Smith / Silverwood / linesman (Sinfield!) which ever decided it was a pen had got it wrong!!

Saw the Carvell one for 1st time. If Limas is more dangerous and intending on causing injury then I think the games gone made!!

As asked at the start of the season will the RFL be consistant? Lima is the only player banned for a chicken wing but yet hes not the only player to do one. Every rugby program as shown the Lima tackle not the Radford one, whom I no doubt will get off due to his excellent record!!
Ganson binned 2 players for fighting at the weekend but failed to do the same with Yeaman/Joel! In that game we had a player banned for running in! Any other players been banned for that offense this season??? Oh i forgot it was Sam so he deserved it.
Like been said take it hope for consistancy (wont hold my breath) give Mossop and Tuson some more valuable experience and aim to stick 2 fingers up to everyone else by coming out as champions again!

Salford had at least one player banned before the season had even begun. Crusaders have had a ban, we have had a ban, Leeds have had a ban ...

it was shown on boots an all trys. i dont know how they did not call this up to be looked at, late hit, player carried off, taken to hospital. he must have crapped himself when he saw carvell running at him

No contact in the tackle is allowed anymore. Instead you must remove your opponents tags. If you pull it to hard though Jon Wilkin has the power to stop the game and moan like a big baby to the official !

Expected it to be worse.

Looking at the positives for Friday Coley, Mossop and Prescott are all playing very well at the moment and we will need them to continue that form against what is always a strong Catalan pack of forwards.

Expecting a very tough game.

Absolutely farce that Lima has been banned, but not unexpected.

We have said before we just want consistency from the RFL - the fact that Carvell got off for a very late head high challenge/shoulder charge is yet again bemusing. This led to an oppositon player being carried off and taken to hospital - even if he had had the ball it would have been bad. I've just seen it on Boots'n'All Tries too and it was definitely late as well.

Has any Warrington player actually been suspended since Tony Smith took charge? Benny Westwood once I seem to remember. That's the second year on the run Carvell has escaped punishment for a bad challenge - the week before a big game. Last year Wigan, this year Huddersfield. Yes, that's consistent!

All aspects of the RFL are a shambles, frankly, so it's no surprise to see yet another bizarre decision emerging from the disciplinary panel.

I don't think myself that there is an anti-Wigan conspiracy at the RFL. For there to be such a conspiracy it would require a degree of competence: a number of people would need to get together in secret and then would need to draw up and successfully pursue their agenda , again in secret. I do not believe that the level of ability and organisation required to do this actually exists within the RFL. My guess would be that the rough treatment we have had recently is due to cock-up rather than conspiracy.

I believe that the RFU actually have a judge heading their disciplinary system. The RFL need to find a judge or senior lawyer or someone else of similar standing and background who can bring some consistency and order to the RFL's hearings, verdicts and punishments (and tidy up the guidelines etc).

I do no particularly condone it - nor do I condemn it. Basically, the tackle couldn't have been that bad as Clarkson didn't get injured in any way! It looked bad because of the unfortunate way he fell as the other 2 tacklers held/struggled with him. In my opinion, it was not Lima's challenge per se that caused Clarkson to fall awkwardly - just a combination of movement/motion of 4 players. This can happen in innocuous or totally innocent tackles which is how players do sometimes get injured.

The contrast between this - where Lima after all tackled the leg of a player and Carvell's head high and late challenge on Dureau, resulting in his hospitalisation, but where he is totally let off ( or Senior's kicking out at Joel's head and Peacock's head high challenge on Sam in the CC Q/F, equally unpunished) is what really sticks in the craw.....!!

And if you trolls from Leeds or Warrington can't see the inconsistency there - despite your adamance that the RFL have studied the incidents and found them not guilty - then you must be blinkered too!
