| No charges at all from the game on Saturday - Crosby cautioned. Looks like the disciplinary realise we don't play netball, even if some of the fans do.

| looks like the disciplinary panel actually had ex-players on it who realise a bit of aggression is what is needed every now and then in this sanitised world of contact sport...

Maybe the R/L have realised that the blood and thunder, bit of biff and more than a touch of niggle in a match gets fans on their feet more than some of the stereotyped rugby that is dished up on a regular basis.
There is a thread going on at present on the Leeds board asking if MM will ever want to go back to his spiritual home of Leeds, this comes only 2 days after they would have lynched him if they could have got hold of him.

| Outstanding!
I thought they'd now down to a bit of pressure but thankfully they obviously took each incident on it's own merits.
Leeds as a team need cautioning for keep piling in inciting trouble just because somebody has dared to show a bit of aggression in a tackle against them.

| Hopefully Wigan fans will now stop b*clocking on about Ryan Bailey and Danny McGuire now they've accepted the wisdom of the disciplinary and realised they've done nothing wrong. I won't hold my breath.

| Having watched the MM tackle, I honestly cannot see the high tackle. Yes he goes in hard, to me his contact was initially shoulder and then his arm flaps over the top of Peacock's head.
Bateman, again from the TV evidence there's nothing to be seen. However what was clear in the previous scuffle was Bailey pushing Bateman's face with his closed fist. Rather an odd move which I can only interpret as provoking and technically an attack to the head. Well done Bateman for not getting drawn in.

| MM is just one of those players, everyone hates him, but if their club signed him tomorrow they would love it.
And why not? Hes a great player and a great entertainer.

TBF regarding the McIlorum incident it was purely the unwise timing (10 secs after being talked to wasn't the brightest idea) IMO. Had it come after 10 mins of no incidents he'd been ok. The Bailey/Bateman looked like handbags really but think ref got it right to take them off for 10 mins, I'd fancy that things would've got out of hand if they remained on.
Regarding that McIlorum thread on the Leeds board. ONE, yes ONE person asked should we get him. ONE.

Are you not aware that on RLFans if ONE person says something it automatically becomes the view of ALL the supporters of that club.

The scary thing is I think McIlorum would flatten Jimmy Lowes as well given half the chance He's not as clever with ball in hand as Lowes was but he's a scarier prospect in defence and in general then Lowes was imo.
I kept replying to Saints and Leeds fans in the past couple of years who said Micky Mac was a cheap shot coward saying he's anything but. He's as tough a player as I've ever seen and he wouldn't take a backwards step against anyone. The going over he gave Warea-Hargreaves in the WCC proved that and if that didn't then him dismantling the Leeds pack and going head to head with Peacock surely must have.

| I think Micky Mac is a tough customer and plays well above his weight. I would have loved to have seen him in opposition to the original Wigan 'Mac' - Brian McTigue.
p.s. The Leeds Whinos fans are very unhappy all across the boards, at present, aren't they?

McTigue was one hard guy on the field, as is Micky Mac, and its no coincidence that theres a common factor between the pair of them....I have never heard of any incident involving them housing off the field, unlike a good few other so called Rugby League hard men

Very good point. The thing I really notice about Micky Mac is how well respected he seems to be by his fellow pros. He seems a very popular member of the squad when you read about on twitter and the like and the players followed him on Saturday like you should do for a good captain that you respect.

| And when you consider the amount of negativity he generated when he first came into the squad, he has really cemented his place.... But then, some fans are very quick to be negative.

Brian McTigue was hard yes but his greatest attribute was his ball handling. He was the greatest ball handling forward I have ever seen in 70 years of watching the game.

Absolutely, and he had a quick burst of speed too.
But it was his 'hardness' that used to frighten the Ozzie forwards. They feared him, and would not mess with him. I think MM might also be an 'hardcase'.
Some forwards have that intimidation factor. Les Boyd did, but he spoiled his great skills by some disgraceful actions.
AFAIK Brian McTigue never got sent off in his entire career. But he left rather a lot of opposition forwards on the floor flat out after a scrum.

| Mickey Mac can never be accused of taking a backward step. I am more worried about Dudson's regular rush of blood followed by a charge to the back. Every time he does it he lets the other team off the hook or makes things worse for us. I really thought he was going to the sin bin on Saturday, not because it was particularly bad but just because the ref was trying to keep a lid on things.
