That was the single worst decision I have ever seen on a rugby pitch. For a ref to make a mistake like that is one thing but for a VR who has time to rewind and look again to make such an obvious mistake is shocking.

It is a joke and he is now the boss, even Cummins on Sky said wrong decision, he needs to get on Sky and tell us why he gave the try.

Ganson and RFL have apologised to HKR, not that it'll give them a point back, at least they've admitted they got it wrong, plain and simple with no excuses.

RFL statement on Green's try

The RFL have admitted that video referee Steve Ganson made an incorrect decision in awarding a try to Chris Green of Hull FC.RFL Head of Match Officials Jon Sharp said: "We have reviewed the decision and it is clear that Steve made the wrong call."Honesty and accountability are important to the match officials department and we can only apologise for the error."Steve has been in contact with Hull Kingston Rovers and offered his apologies. He is one of the sport's most experienced officials and deeply regrets having got it wrong."We will conduct a full review of the performance of our match officials following Magic Weekend and take what steps we can to ensure mistakes like this do not happen again."

Hardly the point.. Showcase event, senior official... Should be relieved of responsibility for such a blatant error. It's inexcusable on all levels, it's not even a 50/50 call.

For them, the RFL and the officials, to have any credibility, he has to go.

I hope he isn’t too, but to be honest they are all much of a muchness for me. Give them all the technology you like, they still manage to get it wrong 50% of the time. Had to smile about the change in Cummings, if he was still in charge he would have backed the decision to the hilt. I hope Ganson is not going to be paid for that performance!
