Had an opportunity to make some valid points regarding British coaches and says " I blame Michael Maguire" I mean come on you fool. If rumours are to be believed then Wigans coach & assistant will be both British next year. Total and utter ball bag !

Also showed a massive disregard for Cumbrian RL and a huge lack of knowledge of RL outside SL.

He was bad tonight.

He was particularly bad tonight though ya could sort of see his point. Wigan brought in Michael Maguire an "unknown" assistant from Australia (though very highly regarded at probably the best team) and now other clubs i.e. Salford, Hull KR are going down the same route rather than offering the roles to a British coach.

We bring in Aussie coaches because the majority of British ones are sh*te.

I saw an interview he did with Stuart Barnes regarding RU & RL. Stevo was simply embarrasing !

He simply had no decent arguments, whereas Stuart Barnes gave some good well thought out answers. Stevo just came across as a bitter and idiotic.

Did he not mean it as in to say 'I Blame Michael Maguire for coming over here and being so good, breezing through Super League winning everything even the most notorious British coach couldnt (with wigan) proving that Aussie coaches are superior?'

Are Wiggy and Slaphead actually answerable to anyone?

They are picky, bitter and biased in almost all their commentaries. They are disliked widely within the game. They do it down rather than talk it up. And yet they continue as the voices of British RL - well paid, lording it at RL parties - a position they've enjoyed unchallenged for 20 years or so.

Is there no-one above them to say 'time for a change'?

The point Stevo was trying to make was valid but he went about making it in a completely cack-handed and pig-headed manner. When a team is succesful it is only natural for some in the competition to try and copy their model for success but to say that it's the successful team that is to blame for that is just stupid

This is why I don't watch it (include the SL show in that) infact I only watch the live games and thats a struggle because of the crap they come out with.

They certainly put me off watching the Sky coverage. The best solution is to put it on, but turn the sound down low and get a few of your mates in with beer, thus drowning out the endless whingeing and whining.

I'm hoping that someone working at Sky is planning a Keys and Gray-style stitch up on these two. For the good of the sport!

Once upon a time, if you'd told me that there would be a 1 hour RL show on every week, I'd have been delighted. I remember the bad old days when there was almost no RL at all on the telly.

However, I also never watch Boots n All as I can't abide the 2 of them. It's not just the anti-Wigan stuff either. It's the totally shambolic way they present, simultaneously looking like they're making it up as they go along & also reading very badly from an autocue. Why is it only RL who get 'comedy' presenters? Does anybody know anyone who actually likes these 2?

Their commentary during games doesn't help the game becasue all they want to talk about is controversy even when there isn't any. They rarely talk about good play in the way that the NRL commentators do. The sooner SKy get rid of the pair of jokers the better.

Just another aspect of our game which poorly promotes such a great sport. These two clowns have a 'loud voice' in RL as sky's chief broadcasters and they poorly represent our sport.

The NRL footy show puts it to shame. It's a lighthearted comedy fuelled show with many different segments which possibly would be entertaining to other non-RL fans.

In fairness I do champion Steveo's passion for the game, but it's time to revamp, not just boots and all, but RL in the UK.

And when they do it's not usually that good.

I do like it though when they start waffling on about some sort of "controversial issue" and then phil Clarke wades in with a voice of reason and shuts the pair of them up.

They need to go. Outdated and damaging to the sports image.

Indeed. I used to love them but they just seem a bit of a joke now. It happens to them all - Eddie Waring and Ray French for example.

Stevo played his last game in British Rugby League 38 years ago! How can he still understand the modern game? He's been retired full stop 34 years. So basically no on under the age of about 50 remembers him playing! He needs to step down with grace!

Amused that his wikipedia page reckons his middle name is "Barbara" though.

Personally I like the Thursday night team. They come out with some funny comments, but tend to not get over hyped on controversial issues and just go with it.

I dont like the whole format, the people just make it worse. No other sports I watch is the presenter also the main commentator while 3 or 4 other people are in the commentary box spouting their own opinions with nobody actually calling the game. Too many people, too opinionated and too biased!
