We have 2 important league games to win before then starting on Sunday.

The last thing we want is wembley fever to take over and warrington to seal the league leaders shield.

Time to concenbtrate on Sunday and Salford.

Id like to see Mellor get a game, not seen a lot of him apart from when Widnes have been on tele. Would be interested to see how he gets on alongside Finch. Maybe Prescott in for Coley and Marsh/Goulding in for George. Other than that we need to keep playing the strongest team possible to keep our current momentum moving in to the final. Last year we saw when we had a full week off we came back a bit lacklustre.

I think this week we will play the strongest team possible.

The week before the final, amos should play for sam, marsh for carmont, maybe goulding for paaat.

In the forwards hock will play as will cross / preccy

Forget Wembley, you must be joking, every topic on your board is to do with Wembley.

Hock/Farrell and Cross/Preccy will likely be vying for 2 places in the 17 for the final. Would imagine each will get a fair shot to prove themselves over the next fortnight. Cant see Sam getting a rest tbh, maybe Amos on the bench for one of the games and bring him on. There's O'Carroll as well who may get a shot at some point.

Resting sam the week before the final would be a good move. Amos will cover and the last thing we need is sam being injured

Not Maguire's style though and I doubt Sam would want to be rested anyway.

Anyone know how Roberts has been doing in the 20s? Is he going to be worth the quota space he'll be taking up if hes not going to be near the first team?

For me keep the momentum going. If players are suffering any slight knock, then yes don't push them out but otherwise full strength.

The Salford game is MASSIVE.

Karl Pryce has scored hattricks, I wouldnt rest Sam for him.

Is he playing well though, looking fit, sharp, confident? If hes not he'll be 31 next season and imo down the pecking order for both FB and wing.

"Important" is stretching it a bit in my opinion. Doesn't really make any difference to the Warrington "shield decider" if we win both our next games or just one of them.

For me the most important thing, far more important than winning the 1st place shield, is that we need just 1 win from 4 (or 1 Saints loss in 4) to secure a home play off. The shield is just a bonus in the greater context of winning the Challenge Cup.

and be honest..the CCs now looked on as the 2nd most important prize after the GF winners, but still before the Hub cap

I'd expect/think to/we should rest one or two this week, Don't write off bradford... It was a tough-ish game in the CC and they whacked Huddersfield, to nill them shows they can turn up every now and then and everyone seems to play better against us and i'd expect the Bradford game to be abit like the hull fc game tbf (i hope not but then again, think the team are fit enough to handle that + cc + warrington only downside we're due a loss some where...let's hope warrington get turned over so the league can be off the mind of the players for the cc...having a loss + still winning the cc, league and going on a 9 game winning streak for the playoffs sounds good to me!)

I'd trust Madge to make the right decisions anyway but i hope he rests one or two against salford and just do enough to get the result needed and hope he keeps the consistancy and plays the team for the CC against bradford (Last year everytime we had a week off, we seemed to be sluggish hence why i was pretty happy we didnt get the week off in the play offs last year.)

We should be using the next two games as preperation. Part of that prep is keeping the winning mentality. Thes results will follow. We need to rest players though.

The likes of George, Lockers & Coles NEED rests

Changes will be pretty minimum IMO
