Appreciate its not the time to criticise Maguire as he came up trumps tonight but he does seem to have the same Noble-esque style when it comes to rotating the props. Why take Fielden off when he's in this mood - let him do 80 minutes if he keeps up the pace.

Evident that the bloke is back to full confidence, finally running straight and hard and over the top of defenders - not always trying to run to either side.

Apart from the loose ball he played that gave HKR their foothold in the game.

Apart from the spilt ball at the beginning of the game, he didn't put a foot wrong (a couple of penalties given against him but was a shocking and pedantic display from Silverwood).

Excellent game from Stuart Fielden. I've said for a few weeks that he should be considered for the Four Nations. I'm so pleased that we've snapped him up for another two years.

apart from morley and graham, you name a better prop for the 4 nations. if stu doesnt get selected this year he never will. best hes been for wigan, and playing along side morley and graham he will perform even better. big mistake if he doesnt play this winter.

Fielden was fantastic imo. He took the ball up brillliantly, remember one point there was four hanging off him and he was taking them with him



The last two games he has been outstanding and if he can do it again next week we have a great chance of making the GF.

Fielden for Wigan only, bollox to the embarrassing internationals, why risk burn out and injurys only to get shown up by the aussies, let leeds and Warrington supply the bulk and have a ty start to the season

Fielden is definately back. He has fire and that spark again. Was the best forward on the pitch tonight. Our MOM I thought.

he should be playing for england in this form. In particular with Jamie Peacock out he brings experience which is needed in Australia and alongside morley and JG he will be fantastic. What a performance and under madge all season has proven his worth to wigan.

Fielden is showing the form he did when he played for Bradford..

Ive said it for ages he just needs a couple of good games and abit of a punch up and his confidence will be right back hope he goes to aussie and tramples all over them and then gun for willie mason in the kr game i think he might be contender for mos next year be good odds

His form this year's been very good.

It's almost like having a nerw signing at times.

Back to his best is Stuart and it's excellent to see. The comentators likend Sam to Lockyer last night and even being a Leyther I have to agree with them. Sam Tomkins is an absolute belter. He bloody played most of last night nursing a dislocated finger and still had a blinder. God I wish we had him at Leigh. Well done Pies.

Absolutley. His form is worthy of a place in the England Squad this winter without question. Personally I thought he was finished a couple of years ago but Fielden is getting back to his best and has to be a certain selection for Steve McNamara.

Fielden's improvement is only temporary. He has to face Willie Mason next season.



He winced everytime the name 'Mason' was mentioned on Sky last week , even when it was Keith being referred to.
