| Anyone else think he was crap today. I don't like calling the ref and aint bothered about getting beat off a better team but
Peacock took Sam Tomkins off his feet with a high tackle when he looked like scoring = Penalty
Keith Senior kicks Joel Tomkins in the face and knocks him out = Penalty
Liam Farrell knocks Danny Maguire to the floor even though he had jumped into him before he kicked it so he was committed = Sin Bin
I am sick of our refs having so much input to the outcome of a game, in the NRL you hardly see the refs, they lie on all day but they let if flow. Over here they are like Nazis. He ruined it and I feel he really did us today, not bothered what the penalty count is, he gave them penalties when it mattered.
Gutted.

| Coleys pushing penalty - ??? You see that all the time and it never ever gets noticed.
O'Loughlins hand trapped between the ball and the man penalty, you are kiddin me? every 50/50 call went Leeds' way.
One hell of a coincidence that our only 3 losses this year have come from the same man in the middle.

Yeah, forgot about them. Coley into Peacock and O'Loughlin? When you tackle the player you trap the ball, if the oppostiton player clamps his arm down he traps your arm in there too, if O'Loughlin would have dragged his arm out the ball would have come out with it therefore = Penalty for stripping the ball so he left it in therefore = Penalty for leaving his arm in.
He was a disgrace today Bentham.
It bugs me that refs have no knowledge of the game they just see rules, they don't see the game from a fans/players point of view. The refs are only there to make sure things go the right way not to orchestrate the game, they have to much input to a game, they are Nazis.
When Prescott was lying on he gave a penalty, of course players are going to be a bit slow getting off it was the last ten mins of a hard game in bad conditions as players are tired and are going to get off the players slower, refs need to realise that they aren't taking the mick they are genuinely tired.
Although we won last week Thierry Albert was woeful, I would have said the same today had we won also, Bentham really dealt us a dud hand. I don't want any favours I just want the game to flow, in the NRL you hardly see stupid penalties, its getting like Rugby Union with refs wanting to be the star of the show.

| Its no shock. The ref's boss is one of the biggest Wigan haters around, and his ref's grew up at a time when we beat all there small clubs week in week out. It is no suprise at all to see that we never get the calls when it matters.

Not 5 mins prior to that, O'loughlin lost the ball in a tackle with Delaney and his theatrics won him a penalty for interference, when the close up clearly showed that he had lost it. You cant have it both ways.

| Mathers accidently high tackled Matt King and knocked him out the other year and was red carded.
Keith Senior accidently kicked Tomkins in the face and knocked him out and was a penalty?
You shouldn't be kicking out in the tackle anyway never mind the opposition in the face, should have been sin binned IMO.

| Also in the first half we kicked though, Lee Smith knocked it forward and Sam Tomkins picked it up and went over only to be held up and was given a turn over? Surely if it was play on after Lee Smith knocked it back it would have been back to one? I've got to watch it again on sky plus and check this because I feel utterly gutted by the decisions of the ref today.
Bailey being offside? The ref has his back towards Bailey so how did he see it? He had one foot offside but come on, everyone in the league would be offside every set if we played to the rulebook.

| Don't think the niggly penalties were too much to complain about as he gave us a fair few. However there was clearly a discrepency when it mattered. I can't see how Peacock stayed on the field, the original arm was bad enough but when he swung the other arm, he should have walked.
Was it R Bailey who went flying in and just missed Sam too? He needed telling then because it was quite clear that he did it with intent.
Senior's leg was clearly accidental but I think it is becoming more and more common for players to kick out like that and I feel it's only a matter of time before someone gets seriously hurt.

I think the automatic sin bin rule for taking out a kicker is a poor one in all honesty. I think there are times when it should apply in cases where there is an obvious intent to attack the player to cause injury. I thought the young Wigan player (Neeson was it?) was a touch late but there wasn't a great deal in the challenge and McGuire went for an Oscar.
But I made a post on the Bulls board that it seems a little unfair that you can knock a players head off and go on report but it's an automatic binning for a late tackle on a kicker! Cummings is bloody useless though, so I wouldn't expect a common sense approach from the referee's anytime soon.

the rules clearly say you can attack the ball or put pressure on the kicker without any contact...farrell jumped so was committed which i agree with you but what you cant understand or dont want to is as soon as he hit maguire without the ball in hand it is a pen......sin bin ??????? you never know now with these refs they are getting that bad

| There were forward passes from both teams that were missed.
Delaney landed on his back I felt, I think it'll be penalty sufficient. Yes he was lifted above horizontal, but didn't land on his head in my opinion.
The Farrell sin-binning was simply ridiculous, unless the refs expected him to turn into a ghost and simply float through the kicker, there was nothing he could do.
Some of the penalties against Wigan towards the end were a bit iffy in my opinion, particularly O'Loughlin "interfering" when he was trying to show the ref that his arm was being trapped by the Leeds player, but in the end we've lost.
I think we could be in line for a big score against Cas next week.

Agreed, most of the Leeds fans are gracious in winning and in defeat, all the trolls are stupid Wire/Saints fans who are sh*tting it because Wigan are good again, Leeds to go on and win the cup easily.

Farrell was sin binned not for being committed to the tackle but coz he made NO attempt to block the ball (he had his back to Maguire as he went in). Must admit I did think that Wigan deserved the win today (hard for a wire to say I know!!!) and did think the ref made some bad calls BOTH WAYS (warning O'Laughable for intereference and then doing sod all next time) but in the end Leeds can up with the play when it counted.

Because they beat wigan, they will cup EASILY ?
Not sure i agree with you, i thought leeds looked pretty poor today. I think saints, warrington, bulls will have something to say about leeds EASILY
winning the cup.
