He had done very little until Nathan Brown took over tbh, you can't regret letting him go if you count the whole time he has been gone and not the year or so he's been playing well.

Regrets would be if Kevin Brown and Luke Robinson went on to become test regulars. Jon Sharp I think it was once touted them as "GB's Future Half Backs" or words to that affect.

Of all the players we let go Kevin Brown is the only one I wish we would have kept. And I've been saying it for years.

i think hes been playing really well. Whether he would fit into our current team I don't know. Certainly someone we need to keep under control when we play them in a couple of weeks. By his own admission he didnt live up to the billing whilst at wigan and didnt handle the pressure put on him by some coaches (millward) and fans. One of those which could have gone the other way if we had nurtured right and eased him in gradually and not labeled him with being the next england stand off and the one to watch when he had played only a few games at the time.

Would love to have Brown at 6 and Tomkins at 7. Was the right decicion to let him go though IMO his confidence was shot to pieces, i think he would shine in this team now though.

Noble only ever gave a player coming through the ranks a game until he had to so Brown would have had to wait for MM to arrive or have been as lucky as Sam T that circumstances dictated he had to be played IMO.

I would have him back with Sam to partner him at 7 or even play him at 4 when George Carmont goes.

I thought he was turning into a decent when we let him go he has a good upper body strength and can do a decent off load in the tackle.

Don't do regrets. However Brown et al hail from a time the club was in a pretty shambolic state. If that same crop of youngsters were in coming of age at the Wigan club now under the current coaching regime and with the emphasis on encouraging local talent that IL is so keen on then things would be very different.
As it is we lost a number of promising young players around that time when, in all honesty, I don't think the club were in a position to do any of them any justice. Moving on was the best outcome for all of them.

Rather than ask if it is regretted that the likes of Kevin Brown were late go perhaps the question should be which of that crop of youngsters would you be happy to see return under the new regime? For me Kevin Brown is certainly one who wouldn't be out of place in this squad.
