My mate reckons that when Jordan James played for us he looked like a small second rower, rather than the big prop he is now.

I can't remember what he looked like when he played for Wigan, but surely he hasn't changed that much in 3 or 4 years has he?

I always liked his commitment when he was at Wigan. But he is a lot better player now he is a little older but still with as much commitment.

I reckon he was about 15 stone then and now about 18.

When Jordan James first came to Wigan he was getting used to the new diet/training etc with being a pro, Ian Millward was keen to see how he was adjusting and in a team meeting asked what Jordan James had for his breakfast.

JJ said - "Eggs and cereal".

Oliver Wilkes butted in disgustedly saying "Urrggghhh how can you eat eggs with cereal"?

All the team started laughing their heads off at how thick Wilkes is.

Without doubt. He was so passionate, and scored a fair few tries as well. He would have ran through a wall if he'd been told to.

Didn't really have a chance as a novice in a struggling team with a pack containing a crocked SeuSeu, Wilkes, Jonkers and a young Hargreaves.

Scored against Saints IIRC, which puts him above quite a few 'poor' signings we've made.

I think he has got a little bigger though perhaps not as much as some are saying, he was formally in the marines so has always been a pretty big lad.

When Widnes signed him I recall alot of positive comments on here regarding Jordan James. I think he's a good player and I always liked his committment at Widnes.

Bring him back i say. No matter what players we have with McGuire in charge he will obviously make them a good player like he has with Slater and Inglis

From a non-partisan point of view, I think its important that Crusaders keep hold of him. They have a lot of young Welsh lads on the fringe on the first team and it wouldn't do them any harm to have a big, enforcer style bloke to lead them. However, money talks and I wouldn't be surprised to see him move back North.

Was your best player by some distance in that derby. Never understood all the grief he got at the time and since from Wigan fans, he worked his nuts off and isn't short of ability either.
