|
He's played a big part in shaping who Wigan are as a club. Every club needs players like Willie who live and breathe the standards the team aspire to - not many have them, which makes him such an important part in where we are now.
Good luck to him, sounds like it must be a great opportunity to make him want to move away.[/quote:2hf8fr0m]
I agree with this comment, some players help instil professionalism in the younger players,

|
Interested to find out what his new opportunity is. I get the feeling it must be something exciting for him to step away from Wigan and playing Rugby League. Chuffed for him in that respect. He's given his all to the club and deserves to walk away on his terms.[/quote:3pwmkrpa]
I believe that it is a really good job in women's football and has come up sooner than expected. Coupled with Wigan wanting to clear some cap for a new signing, it is good timing and deemed to be the best decision.

I wondered if it may be something in the women's game, with his links through his partner and his love of Liverpool. I've seen him on the Liverpool fan TV channel a couple of times, so guess it would be an interesting job for him in football somewhere.
