I've been reasonably impressed with him when he's played but he's clearly not a winger and seems to lack concentration. That concentration issue could well tie in with what your saying about him in training. He's had disciplinary issues in the past and I'd agree that if he's not training well enough he shouldn't be picked.
The culture at the club won't allow for that nowadays so you may be right.
