The rule is wrong IMO but it remains and how the RFL reacts will tell us much about their integrity because under the rules, forget our opinions, Lee Briers is banged to rights.

Agree he shouldn't be up before the disciplinary comm.
Although I'm pretty sure I've seen players cited this year for a shoulder chanrge.

If it was a head shot then they could be up in the same way as they could be for a serious high tackle. But a shoulder charge to the body is just a penalty at the point of occurrence and nothing more.
