Exactly and this is why I always urge caution with Russell and it is why the coaching staff tear their hair out with him. Russell was no where near some kicks yesterday and was totally out of position for the Hodgson try which ultimately cost Hull the match. It is like Russell forgot he was the full back and unfortunately such brain farts arent uncommon. You need to have at least some degree of confidence in your full back, Sam for example is very underated in the his defence and positioning, and Russell is a long way of being in a position where he can be relied upon. Being good at returning the ball wont be enough for him to get the full back spot at Wigan.
