I normally have great regard for Jonathan Davies, especially since he was a great player in both League and Union for many years and I saw him play many times. Because he is Welsh he heretofore was never biased by club rivalry, and his comments were worth listening to.

His whole demeanour on the BBC was woeful.

Had Leeds won, he probably would have, but it's very rare that anyone from the losing side gets it. I think Sinfield was the last one, the year they played Hull.

I am a little surprised that Tommy Leuluai didn't get a mention anywhere. Would have got my vote. I assume the S. Tomkins and McGuire votes were filled in before the match by journos who thought it was a betting slip?

Agree. It's no surprise the vote is confidential when you look at who some of the muppets RL journos voted for.
