Quote ="Rogues Gallery"As I said on a thread on the Saints site, Roby, Eastmond, Graham and Leon Pryce all coming off contract at the same time presents major problems as they will all be looking for big money contracts.
At least one of them will probably have to go. If it was my decision it would be Pryce, as he is probably the highest earner so letting him go would release more money to try to keep the other three.'"
Roby signed his last contract a couple of months after winning Man of Steel in 2007. He would have got his significantly big increase then, so I doubt he will have got another significant increase this time. Having said that, he will be one of the top earners in the game now. He also will now get a testimonial year at Saints.
Likewise Pryce was one of the top players in the game when we signed him, therefore his price tag at the time will have been significant. Next time around he certainly wont be able to command a higher price, at most he will remain at the same level. However, Bradford and many other clubs are likely to offer him significantly more cash, so he will probably leave (if his decision comes down to money, which it probably will being his last big deal).
Graham's decision probably wont come down to money, but he certainly deserves a pay rise on his last contract signed in 2007.
Pryce leaving would free up a hell of a lot of cash for a rise for Eastmond and Graham, and probably bring in a couple of others. If Graham and Pryce both leave, then there will be a huge amount to spend.
