| I enjoyed that. The team has really gelled since that first half v Sheffield in Kent. We need to retain players like Walker and Davis and get recruiting.

| Shame Albert's try was disallowed, I thought he also had a good game. Saw Sid there, not reading anything into that but Newcastle were playing today.

| Couple of annoying things today. Why oh why go short from drop out under the sticks? Twice today didn’t get a result on either occasion. Opposition last play kick, fine don’t challenge for the ball but you have to make the tackle as soon as they catch the ball, eg first Batley try. Boys really do need to learn the rules around PTB, think we handed it over 3 times due to incorrect PTB, one would have likely got a set restart but too busy trying to milk a penalty.
Other than that a decent result against a decent Batley outfit.
After other score lines today I do fear for the outcome of the Leigh game

It will be a real test for the boys. Leigh's points difference is higher than any other teams points for....they're a SL side playing in a part time division.

Agreed.
If we can keep the scoreline 'respectable' it's probably the best we can hope for.

Ion drop outs I don’t think it’s a tactic. I just don’t think Leyland has the gun for a longer kick. Although his kicking from the tee and game generally are very much developing well. We need someone else to punt the ball down the field. IIRC Situ was able to do this earlier in the season ..it was the finesse of his kicks that was in doubt.

We really do and a team that isn’t every bodies whipping boys is a much more attractive option so we need to carry on showing we are a developing side. (That and offering players decent money of course!)

| Wimbledon is a pig of a journey for me - over two hours by rail and similar if I drive because of Dartford - but I took the plunge on the summer pass. Prior to that I'd seen us at PL v Bradford (a game we would have won with a half decent kicker) and that crazy game v Sheffield at Ebbsfleet (which is under an hour's drive). Glad I did as I've seen the last three games all won by a team that really has improved. I suspect that Leyland simply doesn't have the power for a long drop out - that short kick was on show in the Halifax and Workington games too - and the kick on the last could be improved. I though our tackling and fitness has been good. Was it just me but I thought all three opponents (especially Halifax) struggled with the warm conditions? I see a glimmer of hope and if that can be backed up by signing up some of these guys for next year, which means decent money. I'm still baffled by moving to a SL standard ground but then going part time. Full time at Ealing but with a move to a ground like PL if we went up must have been a better way of approaching matters (assuming Trailfinders hadn't been sufficiently improved)?

Even from Twickenham, It's a pig of a journey on Sundays. Bus from Richmond is 40+ stops.

We used to cycle from west Ealing to the stoop....about an hour with a couple of pit stops . The same starting point to the cherry would be 50 mins with no stops.....I'd do that in the warmer months.....in winter it would be 90 minutes by bus and train.....lt currently takes me 3 hours each way including flights to get to mt smart, but I would need the broncos to make more of an effort in terms of matchday experience to get me there regularly, regardless of the hassle to get there.

It’s no walk in the park from North London either. Sigh! Hour and a half minimum.it does benefit from not costing me an extra £20 unlike Ebbsfleet.

Orange when you say “make more of an effort in terms of match day experience” it might have been fairer to say “ start making any effort at all no matter how small in terms of match day experience...”

there is that....but it sems that the fascination with getting people in for a pie and a pint is 100% to focus for the club and to hell with those of you slumming it in the cheap seats. The idea of essentially GIVING AWAY CORPORATE HOSPITALITY is a new one on me. £22.00 was the Regular Seaton Match Day Ticket Price, but now you can rub shoulders with St David of Swinton's Ego for just £3 more.
Remember. At the start of the season Hospo was £60....then £35........now it's just £25.........at what stage does it become an embarrassing failure? We were IMMEDIATELY discounting tickets after the Halifax opener...From an email received FEB 4TH 2022
Quote Lets build on our first game and bring someone new!
Our crowd of 2182 against Widnes when we played our first Betfred Championship game of the season at the Cherry Red Records Stadium was our biggest for several years. But we know we can do better.
Thats why we have decide to offer the amazing price of £2 for Under 18s for the next two Home League fixtures against Whitehaven and York and Full Members can bring a friend for just £4
Tickets are available following the links below and members can book their guest seat in Block 106 if they wish.'"
THEY KNEW THEN THAT THE MOVE HAD FAILED ALREADY.........but they've just ploughed on regardless. From the day after the opener they should have been on the phone to trailfinders, booking us in for the Summer break and back full time there in 2023....but they KNEW!
The combined gates of Dewsbury & the 2 Ebbsfleet games are lower than that season opener. What odds we won't see 2k at Cherry Red next year either......

| With the stated target by Yosser to have 5,000 fans in 3 years, the first season in Wimbledon can only be seen as an massive failure. This was very predictable for anyone who had cared to take at look at what happened with previous moves.
The club focussed on hospitality as this was supposed to generate more revenue that could then be spent in other areas. I wonder if it actually does generate much more when the gold lounge is discounted so heavily.
With no effort made on providing a match day experience, the club is relying on the atmosphere and on field performance to draw any newcomers back. With the gold lounge so effectively segregated from the general admission it seems that adds very little to the atmosphere.

That won’t work. 2 boxes with one with a Gold badge on it and it’s own attached bar and we’ve got a plan!

Odd that. Might just be me but if you squinted a bit it looked like we were back at Griffin Park? A bit ramshackle, red seats, open terrace at one end................................

| The way London played against Batley will excite any sporting fan. The difference in style from early season (that awful Whitehaven game) is like chalk and cheese. Supporters will return when they are entertained; the on pitch offering pre the "Summer Break" (sic) was dour in comparison. The backs have been a revelation, taking the pressure off the forwards who to my unqualified eye were being asked to do all the work early season. Massive missed opportunity due to the on-pitch offering early season. Just need to bring the off the pitch experience up to scratch.
