| So...Oldham dealt with, but we need to tighten up and cut the mistakes out.
Sheffield are going to be a real test of how our season will pan out and if we are relying on one bloke to drag us through the season, then we'll soon become easy to defend against.
Can't see a win here.

It did.
If we hadn't switched off for a ten minute spell in the second half we'd have won by a much more comfortable margin.

| But it was a fair bit short of Oldham best team. If Danny has been able to explain the off side rule to them & they invest in some glue they have a chance.

Can only play ( and beat) what's put in front of you.

| Be interesting to see how the "Social Media" loving Broncos cover this game given their joining of the SM boycott this weekend. 1 weekend is hardly likely to change anything & if these sporting bodies really believe in this, then stay off it for good.

| I think this is a really important game even though early in the season. If we can sort out our defence then I think we are capable of winning comfortably. If we do the rest of the season looks quite bright. If we fail to tighten the defence and it’s close or worse we lose then I worry about the rest of the season. I think we are playing the right kind of rugby trying to move the ball as fast as possible. But we are making too many mistakes and maybe overplaying it a bit.
So fingers crossed the defence is better and we win by a decent margin.

| Tight game after first half. Didn't take advantage of a lot of possession in the Sheffield half early on and need to find better options near thier line.
Right side of defence looks dodgy but maybe will improve with Egodo off. Two knock ons from kick offs is poor.

| Half time and it is Sheffield who look the professional side, the mistakes we have made are embarrassing once again! our speedy winger seems to have lost the plot, the way The Eagles ripped us apart twice on his wing. Then to see us drop the ball twice over our own line?
Would love to be a fly on the wall in the dressing room now, if I was Danny!!! I have only been involved with Under 16's but I would have been angry if they had made the same basic mistakes.
Just hope it is a game of two halves and that we can come out and play in the second half, the conditions are superb, and so is the Doncaster stadium, it's just our guys who seem to still be on the coach, at least we are still in it.
Sheffield Eagles 12 - London Broncos 8

| Well the draw is probably a fair result but that was some conversion miss from Sammut for our last try.

| 20 - 20, You have to credit Mark Aston and Sheffield Eagles, at times they were as a good as us, if not better, when they scored near the end I thought it was all over for us, but how Sammut missed the conversion at the side of the sticks, I think Hankinson had pulled a muscle in putting us over! Even with the late penalty we could not even make touch to take us to one more play the ball?
We are still not good enough, when you think Eagles are part time!

| We definitely don’t look right.
No flow to attack and we again let our shelf’s down with errors.

| We look what we are, an average Champ side. FT team struggling to beat PT teams. Not enough grunt up front, not enough depth in the squad. Stupid errors and sloppy play costing us. We are miles away from the top sides in this league in terms of squad and performance. Might sneak the play offs but wont trouble anyone when it matters.
Cant see why people are going to flock to watch that, at the prices we are charging.
I see PT next season, an even weaker squad than we have now. I dont buy the building for SL argument this season, as any decent player we have will be picked up. Only way we will be able to hold on to them is get promoted, which is miles off.

| So we’ve played poorly in the last two games and still come up with 3 points.
Frankly I hadn’t expected anything from today’s game.
Lots of room for improvement still but two games undefeated is something to be built on.
