I guess they'll lose their overseas contingent of Sio, Mantalano, Campese, Kelly, Tilse, Allgood and Blair. Wouldn't be surprised to see players like Lunt and Walker want out as well.

All depends who Sheens can bring in on short notice and if they'll spend the full cap.

As it stands they've got a pretty poor side with not massive depth.

Hull KR will be wrong to assume that they will bounce back to Super League with ease.

JP offered his resignation, and while it's some credit to Neil Hudgell to turn it down I feel that they need to get someone high up in their football structure with a knowledge of the Championship

The managerial awareness of the Championship will be essential, we struggled due to not originally understanding the nature of the challenge in our first season. They will probably stay FT despite all the doom and gloom so should be able to attract a reasonable squad in the end. If they get recruitment right then yes they will probably be in the top four but there might be a few embarrassments (from their perspective) along the way.

I question whether Tim Sheens is the right man to coach a team in the Championship.

Its a fair question Bosty.He's use to coaching elite players in elite competitions,not a luxury he will get in the Championship.He won't have the luxury of elite players at his disposal,he doesn't know the Championship and agree with above,they will come unstuck a few times.

I am getting a bit fed up with this great wave of sympathy surrounding Hull KRs relegation. The team that lost the MPG is in The Championship. They lost so tough. Get on with it.
Bradford and ourselves were relegated two seasons ago, nobody seemed too concerned then !

I too am getting annoyed with the noises coming out of HKR. If and when Peacock and Sheens are shown the door, I'll have sympathy. If others lower down the food chain are cut, the shame lies with the club's poor management and not the outcome of the MPG.

Plus, the Championship - which is improving year-on-year - is all the better for it.

Peacocks already had his resignation refused and sheen side he'd coach them no matter what division they were in.

Getting into the top four of the Championship should be well within Hull KRs ability. The next step will most likely be their undoing.

Lets face it we at Kr if we make the top 4 and qualifiers won't be facing the like of Leeds or Huddersfield. That was probably a one off bad season for both. The likely hood would be Leigh,salford,widnes,wakey or Catalans. In championship possibly with no disrespect to any other club us, London, Featherstone, maybe either Bradford/Halifax to make the 4, think we will be wiser and not have any mercenaries playing for huge money but for pride of playing for hull Kr.. looking forward to next season going away to places were the fans don't want to fight you and a more chilled league

Upon reflection, we were probably unlucky to come up against Leeds and Huddersfield in the Middle 8s. Perhaps against lesser Super League clubs we might have got into the MPG.
I appreciate that the league does not lie, but Both Huddersfield and Leeds came into form at the end of the season, which was to our disadvantage.
Still, always next season.
