I cannot say I am surprised that this has happened. For once I have not been caught out as I had booked to stay over on Saturday night anyway.

Blimey, the RL don't have much regard for Broncos fans, do they? We play at Leeds in our last game, on a Friday night. I bet they don't switch that to Saturday afternoon!

A few years ago they changed Perpignan and it cost Broncos fans hundreds of pounds per person and not even an apology. The talk of growing the game is just all air and wind. They will not grow the game while they chuff of the fans big time by always changing the game days to suit red hall and sky. Wonder why they never do it to Leeds, Wigan, Warrington etc

It's buggered up the army game as well grrrr first kick off 0945 for the academy then main game at 1245. At least I will get to see the game from the posh seats.
The reality is this has always been a possibility it was either us or the hudds Leeds game, does not compensate but it's done.

They do move other teams around too however it's less challenging geographically bar Perpignan. I know people who have stopped watching Wire as the Friday traffic makes it impossible. Wire shifted to Friday as a result of other teams moving due to the turn around post Sky games disadvantaging them. Bums on seats fans suffer however the simple fact is that without Sky money fully pro RL would never have been played in London. (The two 30's incarnations were semi pro.) If you sup with the devil....

My sympathies to the fans stitched up by this. Been there too. Had one lucky escape too, I'd arranged to stay over in Wakefield the day our match was shifted to a 18.30 kick off on Sunday when travelling by train.

Also I seem to recall the RFL asked Broncos if the were happy for the Perpignan game to shift and they said yes as few fans would travel.....

Incidentally if travelling by car and parking in the big layby near the AJ Bell watch out. One place is opposite a disabled footpath. Hidden under about a foot of mulch you can't see it but traffic wardens turn up every game. Been there done that too!

I think we shall be few in number at Salford. People have other plans and its too short notice.
I do find this change more acceptable than the Huddersfield game, where it was changed to give Hudds more rest time prior to playing Leigh.
