I was there. A bad day all round. The news filtered through on the way up that Bradford had complained to the RFL, who put a block on us signing Vinnie Anderson due to our financial situation (no, don't laugh, Bradford really did that!) then we gave Leigh the only win they got all year.

Don't expect you will be seeing Jamie Soward for the next 2 or 3 games.

He completely lost the plot near the end and hit a Leigh player from behind as he was jogging away from him.

Both got sent off as they got stuck into one another on the floor with punches thrown by both players.

Soward started it though and attacking a player from behind is completely stupid from your star player.

If you were expecting Soward to lead you through these Middle 8's I feel you may be disappointed once the disciplinary decisions are made.

Just think it was a silly thing for your star player to do.

If Micky Higham had been involved with something like that at such a key point in the season I think the coaching staff would be having sleepless nights. Higham is our talisman much like Soward is yours so instigating fights and getting sent off in a match that seemed all wrapped up seems crazy from such a key figure.

I thought Api (I wont try and spell his surname!) and Slyney were very good today and a player I very much love to hate in Bussey had an absolute blinder and caused us all sorts of problems.

I was sitting right in front of the so called incident but missed whatever it was as Soward fed Api five metres out to score. Next thing there's a bit of handbags. Did not see Soward attack anyone but wasn't following him. He played very well but ironical with him off the field we played champagne stuff.

Very proud of the boys. They were ultra competitor in first half had a try stroked off, conceded in Fergie time 46th min and were on the wrong end of a couple of Thaler calls. Leigh scored a couple of soft tries in the second converted by the excellent Ridyard but we maintained a decent level of play. Our forwards were more than a match for Leigh's so much so Hock Patterson Hansen were error strewn.

All in all very satisfied. 4pt Leigh winning margin a fair reflection regardless of how it was reached.

Sounds like a good game, just a pity it seems Leigh got on top for a period in the middle of the second half.

Soward was a big mouthed show off all the game, the great I am ,tried to run the game for Thaler, if He continues in this manner for the rest of the eights (that's if He gets any more game time) He will get flattened
